He came to me
3rd period.
Study Hall.
We sit beside each other,
The seats are assigned.
She sits on my other side,
We were talking about science,
Were partners for the project.
He sat down and grabbed my hands off of the desk.
“I have something to tell you.”
He tells me.
“I’m head over heels in love with you.”
She’s beside me.
He’s my best friend.
I look between the two
As he pulls his puppy dog eyes
A tear slips from her cheek as I fake a smile,
“I think I like you too.”
I can’t let him down,
he'll leave me.
Besides,
he only hit her once.
