"Ah, fresh meat." I said as I heard five eager interns scattering behind me. "I have five rules. Memorize them. Rule number one- don't bother sucking up. I already hate you. That's not gonna change. Trauma protocol, phone list, pagers- nurses will page you. You will answer every page at a run- a run- that's rule number two." I started to walk away and once again heard the interns scrambling to grab a pager. "Your first shift starts now and lasts 24 hours. You're interns, grunts, nobodies, bottom of the surgical food chain. You run labs, write orders, work every second night until you drop and don't complain." I led them to an on-call room. "On call rooms- attendings hog them. Sleep where you can when you can, which brings me to rule number three. If I'm sleeping, don't wake me unless your patient is actually dying. Rule number four- the dying patient better not be dead when I get there. Not only would you have killed someone, you would have woke me for no good reason. We clear?" A very attractive intern raised her hand. "Yes?"

"You said five rules. That was only four."

"What's your name?" I asked her.

"Lexie Grey." My heart skipped a beat hearing the Grey name, but I didn't let it show.

My pager started going off. "Rule number five, when I move, you move."

"I heard she, like, freaked out and killed a guy and had to go on probation." I heard one of my sister's, Izzie's, resident's say.

"Hey, enough." I yelled at him. "What's your name?"

"Jones. Liam Jones."

"All right, Jones. I'm adding a sixth rule. Don't bad talk your resident or any other resident without proof of your accusation. Do you have any proof that that's true?" He shook his head no. "Then don't say it." I dismissed him and walked over to my sister.

"Thanks, Abbie." She thanked me.

"You shouldn't have to thank me. Those dumbass interns need to learn their place. They don't know what happened with Denny, so they shouldn't be judging you."

"I miss him."

"I know you do."

"Unrestrained driver, D.O.A. at the scene, I just need someone to pronounce him." The paramedic told me.

"Oh, crap. Dead guy. Why'd you get me all excited with the sirens? Okay, who wants to see a dead guy?" I asked my interns.

XXX

"Okay, everybody get a good look?" My interns nodded. "Time of death- 8:22." This dude literally started breathing again. "Not time of death. This guy's not dead."

"He was dead." One of my interns pointed out.

"Well, he's not dead now. Let's bag him. Okay, we've got a- we've got a dead guy who's risen from the dead over here!" I called out for help.

"I have these interns. And I have nothing to do. And, uh, I think I'm a really bad teacher." Izzie whispered in my ear. "And I think they hate me. And now I'm a fraud. So any chance you wanna let me in on this? Please? Sister to sister."

"Izzie, this guy was dead, and now he's undead. So that makes him like a zombie- my personal zombie. So no, you can't get in on this. Ask Cristina."

"I don't like you."

"I'm your sister. You love me." I corrected her.

"Let's go, people." She told her interns.

Then, Lexie entered. I started feeling all mushy when I saw her, which is why I pushed her away. "Where've you been? I've been waiting for these." I took the scans from her.
