Carly’s POV

“Ok. It’s done.” I walked back into the room to find an anxious Marie.

“And?” She asked.

“I said no. I told him that I enjoyed being his friend. And if we went out, it might get awkward.” I replied simply, sitting back down and grabbing my plate of food.

“So he knows that you’re taken by Niall?” I choked once I heard that, and almost spit out my food.

“Um no. Number one, I’m not taken by Niall and number two, Niall kind of hates me right now. We aren’t on good terms.”

“You don’t know that. I bet he’s thinking of a way to profess his love for you right now.”

“I think not. Now can we please stop talking about guys? I’m really sick of all the drama.”

“Ok ok… but I say we make a bet.” She smiled evilly and rubbed her hands together like an creepy scientist.

“Oh god… what is it?” I asked, not really sure if I wanted to know.

“I bet you $100 he either tells you he loves you, or asks you out. In one week.” She replied. I thought for a second.

“Deal.” We shook hands and I grabbed the remote, and turned to Marie before I played the movie. “Get ready to pay up babe.”

“In your dreams canny girl.” She laughed and I pressed play on the movie, not knowing what would come out of the next week.

Josh’s POV

“I’m so sorry Josh… I just really enjoy where our friendship is and thing going out might make it awkward. Does that make any sense?” Carly asked over the phone.

“I totally understand! No big deal.” I replied, getting frustrated, but keeping my cool.

“Okay awesome! We’re still friends, right?” I laughed at her comment.

“Of course we are! I don’t think I could live without your friendship babe.” Man I’m a good actor.

“Thanks Josh! I have to go because its movie night but I’ll see you later.”

“Ok bye!” I hung up the phone and slammed my fist on the table.

“Dude! What the hell?” A confused Joey asked, as his glass of water shook.

“Sorry man… Carly said no to a date with me.” I rubbed my hands in my hair and tried to calm down.

“You mean Carly parker? As in Niall’s best friend and love interest Carly?” He asked, confused. I forgot that I hadn’t even told my roommate and band mate that I wanted to get back at Niall for breaking my sisters heart, and tried to get Carly away from Niall, breaking his heart.

 Last year, I introduced Niall to my sister and she was in love, to say the least. But he was so head over heels for Carly, that he ignored my sister. Thus, breaking her fragile heart. So when I started hanging out with Carly, I planned to take her away from Niall, but apparently she had other ideas.

“Yeah… that Carly. I seriously thought she would say yes… I mean, no girl says no to me!” I shouted.

“Josh, chill. You’re a smart guys, so figure something else out. But don’t make it awkward between you and the guys. That would make rehearsal awkward.” He chuckled and continued eating his food. I thought for a second, trying to thing up another plan. BINGO!
