Chapter 5: Bitch

-Freshman Year, Paradis High School

The school year at Paradis High School was already halfway over. All the students were settling in again from winter break just ending. January had started which meant it's a New Year. A fresh slate.

It had been snowing like crazy for the past few hours and it was absolutely freezing. If that wasn't enough there would be an occasional strong wind to pass and make it feel like icicles were stabbing through you. You were lucky if you missed that wretched gust of air on your way into the school from the parking lot.

Though this isn't unusual weather for Paradis, it was surprising the administration decided to keep the school open on a day like today.

Students' shoes would squeak against the cement floors of the hallways. Everybody wore extra layers or some would sacrifice their warmth for the new outfits they had gotten from the Holidays. Lots of kids were complaining about being back at school or about the weather.

The hallways were busy and bustling as usual. Students gossiping on one side of the hallway, some kids were just passing through on their way to class, some just standing by them self at a locker.

The dark-haired man had walked into the building, subconsciously shaking the snow off his hair. He made sure to stop and drag his shoes on the carpet before walking on the pavement to try to save himself from the embarrassing squeak.

As he starts his way towards his class, he steps onto the cement. His shoes were squeaking like crazy but so was everyone else's. However, it still embarrassed him. 

He made sure to walk extra carefully so he doesn't trip and fall, making an absolute fool out of himself like the kid next to him just did. Eren had to stifle a laugh though because he felt like if he did laugh, karma would come his way and give him the same fate.

After a short amount of time, Eren had made it to his locker successfully without slipping and falling. He removes his coat and gloves and shoves them into the space.

Even though he wore gloves, his knuckles were red and blistered. Not to mention they were as cold as ice.

He brings his hands up to his mouth to warm them up. After doing so he grabs the extra hoodie he keeps in his locker and puts it on. It was too cold even in the school. 

He found it ridiculous they still had school on a day like this. He and everyone else attending Paradis High School was really hoping for an extra day of winter break.

He begins to grab his necessities for class but while doing so he hears the clank of the metals from the lockers next to him. It had grasped Eren's attention.

Nobody had ever had the locker next to his or to come to think of it, he had never heard anyone at the lockers near his in the morning.

Full of curiosity, Eren had looked next to him. His eyes make eye contact with two people's backs he has never seen before standing just a couple of feet away. Or maybe the two guys had gone to school with him, just he was too busy watching you and working on his pictures for the yearbook to notice.

The two guys turn to where Eren can see them clearly. One of the guys Eren was looking at was really tall and lean. He had dark hair, a convex nose, and dark eyes.
