"Scarlet, the boys are here." George shouted as he pounded his fists against her bedroom door several times. "So yeah, that's Scarlets room, that's mine, and the guest room and obviously the living room and kitchen." He pointed out as he gave me the shortest apartment tour in the world.

It was a very lively and open apartment from the get-go, and it seemed to simultaneously fit both the personalities of George and Scarlet. White walls and light wooden flooring, with garish and bright modern art featured on the walls.

I followed George into the living room where Charles and Lando were already intensely battling it out in the F1 video game. From this point I couldn't decide who was winning but when Lando slammed down his controller I was leaning towards Charles. "Hey Max!" He smiled as sheepishly picked up the controller.

"Did you want beer or wine? or Gin?" George asked as he got himself a beer from the fridge. I nodded, "Yeah beer is fine."

He passed one over to me, "Nice place," I told George as I twisted the cap and took a sip of the drink. I had never been much of a drinker until I became closer friends with Daniel who as we all know is a little bit of wine connoisseur.

Charles soon placed his controller on the table and came to join us stood around the kitchen island. Instead of beer he poured himself a glass of red burgundy. "Yeah, Scarlet found it so I can't take too much credit, but we are happy." George replied with a smile.

Lando laughed, "Are you sure about that mate?"

I cocked my eyebrow as George began to fumble, "I mean she's feisty but that's nothing I didn't know before." He reasoned. "Plus, she's a really good cook."

That was about the understatement of the year. Scarlet was feisty times one million, she had a win at all costs attitude and had done for as long as I had met her.

"You guys argue like a married couple, and she always seems to come out on top." Lando blankly said as he looked to me for back-up. "It's like she has worked out of all your weak spots and is using them against you." He added.

There seemed to be a distinct venomous tone to his words that hadn't gone unnoticed by the tall Brit. His faces screwed up on distaste for the words that left his supposed best friends' lips. "I think you're just jealous, mate." George bit back.

Lando rolled his eyes, "Yeah and why would I be jealous of her?" He grunted before taking a long sip of his drink.

There was a moment of silence between the four of us, Charles and I both looked on eagerly waiting to see where this battle of words was going to go, although when I heard the door to Scarlet's room click, I knew it would be over for both.

"Well for starters it only took me 2 races to get a win, whereas how many starts have you had without a win?" The girl sassed equally as poisonously as Lando's word had been.

All heads and eyes turned to the petite figure of Scarlet who stood in the doorway. Dressed in backless black satin dress that cut off mid-thigh only to be paired with an outrageously pair of heeled knee-high boots. Her hair was perfectly styled, and she wore no makeup besides a bold red lipstick and mascara.
I caught a whiff of her vanilla and rose laced perfume which felt very nostalgic although I couldn't place why.
