◈In love with my best friend

Avneet and Siddharth had been best friends since childhood but that isn't enough for Avneet, she want her and sid to be a couple girlfriend- boyfriend.

So finally she decided to confess her feeling to him when they were in high school.

''sid, I know, you only think of me as your friend, more like a best friend I mean, umm-'' she started nervously, staring at the floor of the classroom. Sid looked at her disbelievingly and sighed. A friend? Are you kidding me.

''Sid?'' she was having second thoughts of her confession. She was afraid of getting rejected. Well, if she gets rejected, it would be very difficult for them to be like before.

''Do you think a best friend would think of kissing you that hard that you will not feel your own lips?''  Sid asked, taking a step towards her and she moved back. He kept his hands on her either sides, pinning her to the wall, his arms blocking her way out.

''Sid, I-'' she blushed. H-he what?  She watched him and he looked away afraid that she might read his eyes. She chuckled as she saw his cheeks turning pink. He took a deep breath and sighed, leaving her.

''Let's go'' he said, picking his guitar and avi's handbag, walking towards the exit of the classroom. It's his habit to carry her bag. Avi ran and back hugged him and his heart skipped a beat.

''I really love you, please go out with me'' she proposed and his world flew away. He turned back and hugged her properly.

''Finally you confessed, I was about to propose you sooner or later though'' sid said resting his forehead against hers.

''Okay! Is that a yes?'' she asked grinning widely, though he told her indirectly.

''What do you think?'' he asked with same expressions, leaning more and kissed her and she without wasting a moment kissed him back and they lost their first kiss to each other.

It's almost been four years since they are a couple. Avi always expresses her love to sid with 'I love you' everyday but he just smiles or kisses her. Now she doubts if he even LIKES her or not.

Sid is really sweet, faithful and very attentive when it comes to their relationship but avi wants to hear those sweet words from him. So one day when they were on a cinema date she slowly asked him,

''Do I ever cross your mind?''

Her eyes were stuck on the screen but her ears were itching to hear his answer. He grabbed her hand and squeezed it tight, in the dark and looked at her. He replied without any hesitation,

''No''

Avi refused to believe his cruel answer so she asked him another question the following day when they were cooking dinner together at his house,
