Everyone come to see me but Jasper doesn't, the doctor leaves after checking my vitals, they all seem to be normal now. "Where is Jasper?" I ask, Jacob looks at Alice and Justin.
"You need to listen calmly. We won't tell if you panic or stress again." Alice says.
"I won't, tell me where he is. I want to see him." I say.
The three exchange glances again, "Beth confessed everything." Justin says.
"What does that mean?" My heart beats raise.
"She confessed her mother killed the former king and queen. That she loved King Jasper and wanted to be with him. She tried to frame you and Duke Samuel for the death of the former king and queen but failed. She lost patience and tried to shoot King Jasper." She says.
"Jasper got shot?" I ask panicked.
"I blocked the bullet." Justin says.
"You what?" I exclaim.
He calmly takes off his shirt.
"I took the bullet for him." He smiles, my eyes widen at the bandaid wrapped around his right shoulder.
"Oh my god Justin, you should be resting." I say.
He puts his shirt back on, "I'm a strong man, I can handle this much." He smiles.
"Where is Jasper?" I ask unable to care about anything but him.
"Brother Jasper went to court this morning." Jacob turns on the TV. The live telecast plays of Beth and her mother being punished.
Jasper looks tired and worn out, he's grown slight beard, he's eyes look cold and lifeless.
"The case has been going for a month?" I ask, "I was passed out for a month?" I exclaim, they all nod.
But it's only been a day, does the time differ so much.
No wonder Jasper looks so different, I can't imagine how much he must have suffered, for sure he'd have blamed himself a lot.
"Duke Samuel was very upset about your passing out of stress." Jacob says.
"Did he say something to Jasper?" I ask worried.
Justin nods, "He did say some hurtful words to brother Jasper." He says.
"What did her say?" I ask quickly.
"Just some things he didn't mean." He says.
"Exact words Justin, what did Papá say?" I demand.
He hesitates then sighs, "He said he was disappointed in brother Jasper, that he shouldn't have trusted him." He says.
My heart clenches knowing how much it would have made Jasper hurt.
"But he was the one who helped us, he gave a file that had all the information about Beth and her mother." Justin says.
It must have been the file he showed me, "Beth mostly snapped because we found out." Jacob says.
The door opens and dad comes in, he's body visiblely relaxes as he sees me. He comes to hug me, "Thank God you are fine." He says, I know he's worried about me but I can't help but get angry at him for being mean to Jasper.
"It was all my fault that I passed out papá." I say, he scans my face.
"I was wrong blaming your husband, I couldn't control my anger when I heard you passed out." He says.
"You need to apologize to him too." I say, he nods.
My belly does a weird wobble, I look down and find liquid coming from between my legs.
I grab Jacob's hand who's next to me, he looks at me surprised, the labour pain doesn't come yet but I know it's time.
"The baby is coming." I exclaim, they panic, Justin and Dad runs to get the doctor.
The pain starts to kick in, my hold on Jacob tightens as I cry out in pain.
"Deep breaths, deep breaths." He sounds like he'll cry.
I nod taking deep breaths.
"It hurts so much." I scream feeling bone crushing pain in my lower region.
The doctors and nurses rush inside, the others are sent outside. Intense pain pushes through my abdomen region, groin, back and the sides of my thigh.
I feel a great urge to bear down and push the baby out, the doctors ask me to push harder as if I wasn't already trying.
"Very good, we can see the baby's head crowns." She says, I feel a burning, stinging sensation around my vaginal opening. It hurts like hell but suddenly everything feels light and the sound of my baby's cry fills the hospital room.
"Congratulations your majesty, it's a healthy baby girl."
