Icey's Tale

-The Vote.-

I was once again awaken, and shockingly enough, by the same person: Foxete. For the past day or two-..actually, has it even been that long? All I see outside is space, the vast darkness of space. There aren't any clocks on here either, and whenever I ask the person guarding my cell what the time is, they simply respond with,
" Beat's me. "
Which is not a help at all. Anyway, as I was saying, for the past time I have been here, all I have been doing is sleeping. There isn't much to do here, not even a book to read. Although I love having others around me at all times..our conversations are quiet, and quite boring. Even the ones with more personality aren't very talkative.

However, on the plus side, at least they tell me all of their names! I already know Foxete, Captain Bonnie, and Foxy. However, there is also Acron, the blue man that was there during my interrogation and scolded Foxete, Illoha the Krekokian, along with Keeva whom was also a Krekokian. There is also Arie, whom is a human woman who seems like one of the older members of the ship. I know there are more, but those are the people that watch me.

Foxete shook my arm, and greeted me eagerly.
" Aye, Water girl, rise and shine! " she greeted.
I woke up, and looked at her. She had an eager smile on her face, and Acron and Illoha were also there, smiling as well. Why did they look so happy? I never saw them looking this happy.
" What is it?.. " I asked, sitting up.
" Final talk. " Acron stated, crossing his arms with a grin.
" With all of us. " Illoha chimed in reassuringly.
What could be happening?..
" Oh..um, ok then. " I said. I know my tone sounded like I was uncomfortable, which to be honest I was a little bit with all of the smiling, but I also felt unsure and confused. Either way, I stood up, but they didn't handcuff me. Now that is very strange..very odd. However, the three of them surrounded me, Foxete behind me, Illoha to my left, and Acron in front, as we shuffled into a large room with a large machine in the center.

Once Acron and Illoha stepped aside, I noticed a small crowd of a couple crew members, most of which I knew. Foxete pushed me forward, catching me off-guard, as she forced me to stand next to Captain Bonnie. I glanced at him, and he gave me a nervous smile. I couldn't help but smile back. He then turned toward the crowd.

" I'll start..as some of us know, this is Icey Water. " the Captain began, much more calm than I expected.
I noticed Foxete was still giggling to herself, which I'm used to by now.
" She came here on a decently-kept ship, she's on the younger side, and she is an Eclipse. "
Some people made expressions at the ' Eclipse ' part, however no words were said. Goodness..so what? I am a different species? Aren't they all?
" She also is a sword fighter. " Foxy stated.
" She isn't very assertive though..she back's down whenever I raise my voice. " Foxete mumbled.

Foxete, despite her childishness, is scary whenever angered. At least from my experience. I don't understand how anybody else can stand her..or maybe it's just me? I also noticed that Foxete refused to look at Bonnie..and looked..scared and sad. I did hear some fighting, what I could assume, day before. It echoed throughout the hallway all day, with endless bickering and yelling. However, I fell asleep in the middle of it, and that's when Foxete woke me up. I don't know what happened..with the small amount of interactions I have seen with the two, they seemed like friends, very lovely ones in fact. What could've happened?..I hope nothing bad.

The group continued to bicker about my approval.
" We don't have enough information on her though.. " I heard the captain murmur.
I held my hands together tightly..I regretted not saying more. Maybe this is why they called this meeting, because they don't trust me? Oh dear..well what else what was I supposed to do? If I told them-..it would get bad very quickly. I snapped back into reality, as I continued to listen to their conversation.
" ...I believe she is like Keori, useful, but not dangerous. "

I noticed from the crowd, one of them smiled to herself. She was also a Krekokian, and looked similar to Keeva, but in different clothing and she had a pink fade near the ends of her hair. I suppose that's Keori..she looked sweet. Much sweeter looking than the others, and by her short description and smile confirmed she was sweet. How lovely! Perhaps later we could talk, and I'll finally be able to have some tea with another. I haven't done that in awhile..so it would great to do it again!

" Yes, she could be useful to our crew..it was kind of stupid locking her up. " Foxete said, looking a little embarrassed, but still smiling.
" I know this doesn't mean much..but Icey seems cool! " one sung in, a slime in a mechanical suit.
How sweet! I will certainly invite him to tea with Keori later, although..I don't know if it can drink. From what I heard, slimes can eat, but what about liquids?..Well, that's for later to discuss.
" Thank you. " I mouthed with a graceful smile, with doing a small bow.
" You are welcome! " he exclaimed.
I let out a smile giggle, and a slightly bigger smile. Captain Bonnie scratched his neck, and went on.

" So..all in favor of having Icey being able to wonder around the ship. Maybe with like..a bodyguard? " he asked, looking to the crowd.
Most of them raised their hands, including Foxete, Illoha, and Acron. The other two people, whom I spoke of earlier, also raised their hands. However..three others didn't. One of them was Keeva, another was Foxy, which made sense..and Captain Bonnie.

I could get behind Foxy and Keeva, they never shown me much love and affection, as Foxy was always suspicious of me, and Keeva seemed constantly annoyed with me. Even when I did nothing wrong, she gave me dirty looks. However, why Captain Bonnie? Maybe he doesn't trust me..but I trust him, I trust him very much! I don't understand..maybe he is not allowed to trust anybody because he's the captain? No, that doesn't make sense..he seemed to be friends with almost everybody, or at least act friendly with them. Perhaps it is me..I don't know. The stress of the decision caused me to frown, and there was a tremble in my hands. I held them together tighter, trying to relax. Don't worry Icey..calm down, the majority voted ' yes ' ..people like you, they still want to be your friend..all you could ever ask for.

" So..you guys against it? " Foxete asked.
Clearly, speech wasn't her greatest strength. However..I shouldn't judge.
" Yeah..I don't fully trust her, like the recruits. My apologies. "  Keeva stated.
That was one of the nicer moments she's had with me.
" Well, the majority does rule for Icey..but since Foxete isn't captain, her vote doesn't count. "
" I could run this ship ten times better than you..and I've been helping the entire time! What is your problem? "
What is wrong with these two? Why are they so angry at each other? My goodness..
" I won't have this discussion. " Bonnie announced.
" You started it, mate. " Acron said.
" I agree with Foxete, this is a democracy Bonnie. " Keeva expressed.
Democracy? Such a silly word! I feel like I have heard it before..but that's a different topic.
" Fine.. " Bonnie begrudged, and left.
" Wow, how mature! " Illoha shouted.
I heard her quietly mutter something after, with an angry look.
" Keeva, could you excuse Icey? She doesn't need to hear the upcoming argument.. " Foxete asked.
" Where? " she asked.
" Her cell for now. "

We all watched as Illoah furiously walk down a hallway, the same hall we saw Bonnie walk down. It wasn't long until we started to hear yelling, and that's when Keeva pulled me along.
" Here we go..come on. " Keeva said aloofly.
She led me down the hallway, as the screaming from the group disappeared. However, I couldn't hear much of what they were saying anyway.

As we walked down the hallway, I was curious about the vote. I guessed the decision was to let me out with a guard, which I certainly didn't mind! More interaction! And much more freedom too. Hopefully it'll be with somebody that's interested in me, and willing to speak to me. I turned toward Keeva, who looked like she was daydreaming or bored while we walked. I turned my head toward her.
" So..if I am correct, I will be able to walk around the ship freely with a guard? "
" Yes. "
" ..am I able to choose my guard? " I asked.
" I guess..I mean, I suggest you choose somebody like Acron or Foxy, maybe even Foxete..but she is kind of Illoha's bodyguard. "
" I see..so I'm guessing you'll choose for me? "
" I suppose so. "
That doesn't sound like the worst thing. We finally entered the prison area, as Keeva opened it up for me to enter. I walked in, and she closed the barrier.
" I'm guessing you can watch yourself. I'll see you later. "

I watched as Keeva left, before I could even say a word. I let out a quiet sigh, and sat on my bed. I stared at the door, slowly getting more tired..
