As I walk downstairs I heard some guy talking, it sounded like he had a little bit thicker of an accent then or maybe he just had a deeper one than Ms. Moone.
When I finally reached the bottom, his back was turned towards me. I cleared my throat, Ms. Moone smiled wide as he turned around. He had a nice fitted suit on and his hair was neatly gelled back. He didn't seem too old to have kids. Maybe I'll have a foster brother or sister.
Ms. Moone told me to go pack my stuff and be ready in 10 minutes so I ran up to my room.
I grab my 2 and my guitar case and my long board. I walked slowly downstairs, I'm trying to take in everything that just happened.
When i finally reached downstairs the limo driver grabbed my stuff and put it in the trunk. I walked back inside to bye to Mrs. Moone and to say thank you for letting me stay.
I noticed that all the other girls were all up on him. Maybe he's someone important.
I walked outside to see the man leaning against the limo with his phone in hand.
I finally said something because I was still speechless..
"Hi" I managed to squeak out.
"Hello hun, my name is Simon" Simon said
"So why are you adopting me?"
"I'm not." He answered.
"What?"
"I'm not the one adopting you. You'll find out soon who is.."
"Oh ok" is all I could say. He looks oddly familiar. I can't out my finger on it though.
We both went into the limo. Silence took over quickly.
"Can you give me a hint?" i broke the silence in the limo.
"Hmm... no. Trust me Melissa, you'll like this surprise." He said with a big grin on his face.
"Whatever you say! But if I don't... Can I go back with Mrs. Moone?" He nodded
"Okay, so that settled" I leaned my head on the window and drifted off to sleep.
