We exited the painting looking both ways to make sure nobody else saw us, luckily most of the people had already left and the people left were just helping clean up.

We crept up another set of stairs and in to his old room.

"So here we aAAAAH!" he said being cut-off by his own screams.

"FORGOT ABOUT THAT! HEH" His voice echoed from wherever he just fell to. I am really not in the mood to do this but I guess I have to (Do it for the vine!)

I clench my eyes shut and jump through the hourglass shaped hole.

"I AM GOING THROUGH THE FIVE STAGES OF GRIEF ALL AT ONCE RIGHT NOW!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I land on a huge pile of sand but I still felt some pressure, that hurt so much.

"Are you okay?" The man asked.

"Uh yeah, I'm fine. What about you, you fell too?"

"I do it everyday. No I don't. Well we might want to get climbing if we want to make it up there soon. Knock - knock - knock on wood!"

I look up to see the largest set of stairs I have ever seen. I don't even know if those are considered stairs I'm pretty sure they are just pillars close enough to jump.

"Well, come on!" He said enthusiastically.

I ended up climbing those stairs. Worst hour of my life, actually I've had worse.

We enter a room that is basically just a large dome. Sand is covering the floor and you can see green shards on the ground.

"Oh right there's sand up here! Silly me." He throws the salt over his shoulder instead of pouring it on the ground like he said he was going to do.

He sets the sticks down in craters of sand and lights them on fire with the matches we brought. He takes his hands in mine and closes his eyes. Once he opens them again the sand starts flying everywhere.

"You never told me this would happen!" I attempt to yell to him but he doesn't hear. I turn around, my hand still in his. I see the same vision that he described, Maribel standing in front of a cracked house.

"Its the same thing as before! I knew this would happen!!"

"Just keep reading, I'm sure something else will happen!"

He listened to me and kept reading. The vision zoomed into my face and my eyes started glowing.

"Okay maybe we don't need to keep reading!" I yelled to him, this time making sure he heard.

The sand stop going everywhere and a green plate almost fell on top of his head.

"Here is the vision, your eyes glowing."

"Wow that really tells a story" I say sarcastically

"Hey! You're the one who told me to stop, that's on you."

"I know, I know. Come on lets just go back. I need to head home anyways."

We started making our way back when I almost fell off a platform. The man manage to catch me by the waist and pull me back up. My life just flashed before my eyes holy.

"So.. I never got to learn your name." He commented to fill the silence.

"My name is Y/N, what about you?"

"Bruno!" He said with a grin on his face. Just seeing his wide smile made me smile a bit, I'm not sure why. though

After the long walk back down and the climb up to the hourglass (nah because how did Maribel get out)

We eventually made it back upstairs.

"It was fun hanging out with you!" Bruno said

"It was a joy to hang out with you as well, Bruno." I responded, "Maybe I'll see you tomorrow!" I grinned

"Hopefully!" His grin grew wider.

I walked back home knowing that I made a friend.
