"There he is! Don't let him get away."

I quickly threw my hood over my head as the shop-keeper yells. I turn around to see the strongest madrigal, Luisa, chasing me. I take a sharp right into an alleyway, stopping to catch my breath.

I walk out seeing if anyone is there. Seeing nobody I quickly go to my house. When I was younger my mother died and now my father is working a ton in order to pay off her debts. She wasn't a bad mother she was just a bad person.

None of my siblings are home so I just assume they're out roaming the streets or playing with their friends.

I take the food that I just stole out of my bag and set it down on the counter. I go to grab a chopping board when the door slams open making me jump.

"Work sucks." My sister Opal says.

"Argue with a wall." My brother Anthony says.

"You guys have such easy jobs though!" My other brother Alex says. I'm the oldest of 3 adults.

Opal is 40, Anthony is 42, Alex is 46, and I'm 48. You may think I'm a grump just because I'm the oldest but I am the funniest person in this room.

"Would you guys shut up." I state.

"Oh come on! You are literally retired." Opal whines. I am but at least I'm living the life. I didn't actually say that of course, I just ignored her.

KNOCK -- KNOCK -- KNOCKNOCK

I walk towards the door and answer it to see Camilo.

"Hello there Hermosa! Today is Antonio's gift ceremony, are you interested in joining us." I was going to just say no and slam the door until Opal walked over.

"Of course we would like to, what time is it?"

"6:00 P.M."

"You'll see us there" Opal said wearing a grin. I had absolutely no interest in going but I guess I could crash the party, knowing the Madrigals though, they'll probably crash it themselves.

I head upstairs to get dressed and see that my room is a mess. Knowing I have more time I decide to clean it up then get dressed.

It took me 3 hours so now i only have 30 minutes to get dressed.. Amazing.

I throw on a red dress and curl my hair. I head downstairs to see everybody waiting for me.

"Thank goodness you didnt take that long!" Opal sarcastically says.

"Hardy har har."

We all make are way there and see everyone else is going aswell.

"Hey amigos! Didn't think you would actually make it." Camilo grins

"Didn't want to make it.." I mumble

I walk past the boy and while he keeps talking to my siblings. I decide to go upstairs in order to escape from everyone else.

Walking towards another hallway I see rats crawl out a painting. WAIT RATS CRAWLING OUT OF A PAINTING?!

I turn back to the painting and move it around when it opens up.
