A brand new morning as the citadel grew lively with the new arrival of Lord Camdess. Merlin has only heard that he is a man of great talents and he can talk an ear off. Merlin was excited to meet him because for the first time he sounded like the only one to not have an ulterior motive for Camelot. Yet.

Merlin had gotten Arthur ready for the day as quickly as he could and helped with some of the preparations that were to be done. The lord had reached the lower towns, causing everyone to panic and finish the last of the preparations.

Merlin made his way to the throne room, hopping up the stairs to stand close to Arthur, his hands clasped behind his back. Normally a servant waits in the rafters, but Arthur likes having Merlin close when it comes to meeting new lords. It gave him a comfort he never knew he needed. For Camelot it was old news but for any visiting lords it was a shock.

"Merlin stop your fiddling, you look ridiculous." Arthur commented on Merlins hopping of the feet.

"Im nervous you prat. Its not every day we meet a Lord from 3 kingdoms away." He says under his breath.

Arthur rolled his eyes just as the door opened, revealing Lord Camdess and his loyal 4 knights. Arthur stood to his feet to greet the lord.

Merlin eyed the man, taking in the appearance. He had a nicely trimmed beard with shoulder length hair that curled in the front, his clothes were definitely a fashion not from around these parts. His pants were white, not a speck of dirt to be seen and his shirt consisted of a robe tied in the front while he wore jewels on his head.

The man bowed gracefully, slowly lifting his head, his eyes went from Arthur to Merlin in surprise. Merlin was expecting this, its what all visitors do, but this time he got an unsettling feeling in his stomach when the man smirked.

"Lord Camdess, welcome to Camelot. I hope the journey from Grusha wasn't too perilous and long." Arthur says, taking his seat.

Camdess shook his head. "Not at all. I was able to take in new sights along the way. Quite a scenic route was more than I anticipated." He says, clasping his hands behind his back.

Arthur nodded. "I am glad. You will be in Camelot for how long?" He asked.

"A week. As long as we reach an agreement that is." He chuckled.

Arthur pointed to a servant near the banister. An older man by the name of Oliver. "You will receive a servant to tend to your needs. You will be given your own quarters in the guest hall. We will have our first meeting bright and early tomorrow. For today please take the time to rest and enjoy the feast we have prepared tonight."

Arthur was about to conclude the meeting when Camdess cleared his throat. "May I request the servant next to you?" He asked.

Arthur paused, a look of confusion crossing his face for a mere moment, sharing a look with Merlin. The few people in the room also murmured amongst themselves.

"Im sorry my Lord, but he is the Manservant to the king." Arthur explained.

Camdess nodded. "My apologies. I had no idea. The servant you have picked will do." He says, bowing once more before leaving the room with his escort, Oliver rushed down to meet him at the door to show him to his quarters.
