"I've worked with Michael for years, but I've never seen him in an uncontrolled environment. I've never heard him speak, you see. In spite of my encouragements, he remains unresponsive. But tonight, so many possibilities exist." Dr. Sartain explained calmly as if nothing ever happened prior to the drive.

Mia looked over at Michael hesitantly, seeing his eyes still shut and his chest slightly rising and falling in steady breaths. She felt afraid of him, knowing what he was capable of, but for an odd reason, she knew he wouldn't harm her.

"He-He spoke to me." She lied.

"He spoke to you?"

"Y-Yeah. One word."

"What was it?"

"Let me go and I'll tell you what he said." She bargained.

"What was it? You must tell me-"

"Let me go and I'll tell you what he said! Just stop the car!"

Dr. Sartain groaned, pulling the car over to a harsh halt, followed by a squeal of the tires. "What was the word? Was it the sister's name? ...Judith?"

Mia's tear-filled eyes looked at Dr. Sartain fearfully at his curiosity to the situation, "N-N-No."

A deep breath sounded from beside her, causing her to turn her head to the left, seeing Michael staring at her through the holes of his mask. He turned his head to look at Dr. Sartain through the rear-view mirror. "Michael." He panted, flashing him a weak smile as if he were to see an old friend.

Bracing himself, Michael leaned against the back of the seat, bringing his feet in front of him, pushing against the mesh guard between him and Sartain, breaking it from the welds, smashing Sartain against the steering wheel. Mia screamed at the sight before her, watching Michael effortlessly release himself from the car, shutting the door behind him, leaving Mia inside.

She panted, watching him drag Dr. Sartain alongside the road, dropping his ankle to stand over him, ignoring Mia's pleas from the car. He looked down at Dr. Sartain, who was looking up at him, terrified, which only fueled Michael's fire. "Say something." He begged, only to see him react in silence, staring holes into him before raising up his leg, smashing the heel of his boot into his skull, killing him.

He turned to walk back towards the car to let Mia free - free from Dr. Sartain's cage and free from Michael's rage. Tilting his head, he saw nothing but an empty seat. He scared her.

Noting his surroundings, he was behind the woodline that hugged the neighborhood she lived in. She went home.

oOo

Mia panted as she poured a glass of wine, nearly shaking from what she saw. She knew what Michael was capable of, but she wondered why he didn't kill her too. Unless, that was his plan all along - to kill anyone who had contact with him.

Walking around her house nervously, she ensured that every light was on, leaving no darkness behind, and making sure every door and window was locked. A part of her wasn't afraid of Michael, but the other part of her was afraid of what he may have been planning to do.

To ease her nerves, she concluded that there was no way he would find her. Plugging in her phone to charge, she played music on the speaker of her phone to dull the silence whilst walking around her house nervously, walking into her bedroom down the hallway to light a candle in her dark bedroom, grinning slightly at the next song that played on her playlist:
