Note: This is the last chapter of this book. Book #2 will be coming out after Halloween Ends in October! I'm super excited to get to work on it, but I have five more months to come up with ideas! Thank you SO much for all of the notes and comments on this story! I have enjoyed writing it so much and hope you have enjoyed reading as much as I have written!

Mia sighed, looking at the marks on her skin from the night before, both traumatizing from Kevin's attack and sensual from her and Michael's lovemaking. Glancing back at Michael, who was still in the bed with an arm behind his head, watching her.

"Remind me to only do that on my vacation time." She giggled.

"You're the one who gave me permission and I didn't hesitate." He smirked.

"Oh, I know. Now I have to worry about how I'm going to cover this up before my coworkers think my husband is abusing me."

He tilted his head as he watched her walk towards him, crawling over the bed to lay up against him. He wasn't complaining about the gesture, however, he knew she was up to something. She was never one to wear a full face of makeup - only usually mascara and eyeliner, nothing more. He smelled the stench of powder and the foundation she had used to cover the bruise on her cheek from Kevin's slap. "You know I'd never hurt you."

"I know...Unless I give you permission, right?" She giggled.

"I held myself back from that, Mia. When you told me to take you how I wanted, you have no idea how big of a door that opened, but I told you I didn't want to hurt you. I didn't like choking you like that."

"Oh, but I did," She smiled. "I like when you're rough with me. Too bad you weren't rougher."

He chuckled, feeling her hand cup his cheek before she pressed her lips to his beard. "Oh, I got some makeup on you. Here, let me get it off." She snickered before rubbing her face all over him, laughing as he huffed of her behavior, hating the sticky feeling of the residue of her makeup on his face.

"Mia!" She grumbled.

"What, Michael? I just wanna give you a kiss!"

"You have lipstick on."

"So?"

"I don't know why you want to wear makeup anyway. You're too beautiful for it."

She blushed, "No I'm not, but thank you."

Getting up from the bed, she went to walk back into the bathroom, unaware that Michael had gotten up to follow her to rid his face of the makeup on his beard. Noticing a faint gleam of sadness in her eyes, he knew she had been hard on herself. He didn't know why, but he didn't ask any questions as he knew that asking her would prompt her to think about it even further.

Watching her apply the foundation to her neck, he then wrapped his arms around her waist, watching her reaction through the mirror, smirking slightly as he had to hunch over just to match her height. "Your brother called you this morning. I told him about what happened. He said he wanted to come and visit."

"Remind me to call him back," She sighed, giggling as she watched Michael pepper delicate kisses on her shoulder. "I miss them."

"I know you do, that's why I told them to come and visit. Even though it's been over a month." He chuckled.

"A month is still a long time, especially after what happened. I don't know how to process it all."

"I know, but you won't have to worry about him anymore. He's taken care of," He assured her, kissing behind her ear. "I'll go make your coffee for you."

"Are you sure you can make it just how I like it this time?"

"It's not hard. Brief flavor of coffee and make it look like milk with half a can of whipped cream." He scoffed sarcastically.
