I fall on my butt.
"Ouch."
I look to my wrist. Ah, there's a thing strapped to my whole lower arm. Kind of neat in a sci-fi way. I push the green button.
A face comes up. I jump back.
Kind of hard when you're on your butt. And the face comes with my arm. Come to think of it...
"Kyle?"
He speaks,
"That was going to take a long time to explain. So, I pushed you to Realm-R and we can communicate through this. The people there will be semi-used to a Traveller such as yourself with the arm band on you."
I'm pretty sure I've been way too confused about the whole ordeal to think clearly. I must be dreaming. Yep.
I nod, hearing a faint, "Are you actually listening to me?"
My butt hurts. I must be under stress from not being able to be awake with Uncle. Or maybe I was too excited. I hope I didn't die. Come to think of it, Kyle did look kind of angel-like.
It was a weird place to meet him, though.
I sigh as I roll onto my back and look at the sky.
Maybe I'm disoriented and rolled on my stomach, for the sky I know isn't that kind of blue. With a green tinge. And my kind of clouds don't look like coral.
I'm pretty sure that's what coral looks like. Surely, there's some kind of coral that looks like that.
Maybe I'll just sleep.
I awake to beeping. And a grumpy Kyle face.
"Still dreaming I guess," I mutter.
"No."
I jump up to sitting position.
"Then I'm dead?!"
"No." He looks even more annoyed.
"Why does everyone ask me that?" he whispers.
"Cause you look like an angel?" I reply, a bit unsure.
He frowns, "You really weren't listening before. "
"Ummm, no?" I offer.
"Ahh," he sighs again, ruffling his hair.
Oh, it won't look so nice anymore. Never mind, it just jumped back to where it was.
"I am an angel."
"So, I am dead?"
"No!"
"Where am I then?"
He takes a deep breath, "Realm-R."
I nod, then reply with, "No idea."
I can hear the trees around me groaning. Well, it's Kyle, but if I place his face over a tree, it's like the tree is groaning. And the tree looks slightly less like not a tree. I mean, I've heard of mushrooms glowing the dark, but not so much whole trees. And is it just me, or does glow-in-the-dark mean green, not purples and pinks.
"Oh, I think I found some green!" It's a bit blueish green but green glow-in-the-dark will do.
Kyle opens his mouth, "You're not on earth. So yeah, there's less green in that forest."
"Oh, I see." I'm still very confused.
"Yep. Should sink in soon."
A minute later of trying to find a good matching leaf branch set to Kyle's hair.
