You had finally woken up at about three o'clock in the afternoon, bummed that basically your day was gone and Monday was approaching. You got up and went to splash some cold water on your face. You pat your face dry before walking back to your bedroom to get changed. The house seemed to be quiet so you assumed your mom was out somewhere. You finished getting dressed and you sat down on your bed.

You sat there thinking about what happened yesterday. Was that really Ran in the park? Of course it was, there was no doubt about it. All you could do was think about how he seemed to be such a kind, and caring person around you yet it looked like he was seconds away from killing that group of kids in the park. 'I'm not nice.' Were the words that kept replaying in your mind for what felt like an eternity.

Maybe he really wasn't nice, so what could you do to avoid causing a problem? Do what you've been doing for the past few days, avoid him. You were already doing a pretty good job at it so its not like you'd be completely disappearing. You heard your mom return and heard her go into her bedroom. You decided to peek your head out to see her.

"Hi mom." You said knocking on her door before opening it.

"Oh wow, you're finally awake." She paused. "Are you feeling okay? You seemed a little out of it yesterday." She asked.

"Yeah, don't worry I'm fine." You lied.

You hated lying to your mother but what can you do in this situation? Tell her you saw your "friend" and some other person nearly killing a group of kids in the park? Yeah, because she'll react to that really well. You sat on your mothers bed as she continued to run around her bedroom like a crazy person. Pulling things out of bags and putting them into other bags, laying out her outfit for tomorrow, reorganizing papers.

"I'll be in my room just revising my report mom. You seem a little busy so I'll get out of your hair." You joked as you stood up.

"Oh I'm sorry honey I just... umm... did you see a yellow folder over there on my desk?" She asked.

You chuckled and grabbed the folder off her desk handing it to her.

"If you need me I'll be in my room." You smiled walking out.

You looked through your bag for your report reading it over to make sure you were happy with it so you could finally check it off of your mental checklist. Once you were finished and decided you were happy with all the changes you tucked it back away in one of your folders. You sat on your bed slightly bored so of course your brain migrated to Ran. More specifically would he be looking for you since you saw what he did in the park? You never thought you'd ever be in a situation where you genuinely feared for your safety.

Short time skip because the author ran out of filler story

Its been about two weeks since the park issue and you've done a pretty good job at avoiding Ran. Have you seen him since then? Yes, usually frequenting the park since he probably picked up that being your favorite spot. You kept as low of a profile as you could and that helped you out a bit as well. It was a Saturday and you decided to go to the local cafe since your mom was at work today, and you haven't seen Ran for a dew days.

It was probably a twenty minute walk from your house to the cafe. As you walked to the cafe you took in the nice breeze and warmth coming from the sun. You were about two buildings away before someone put a hand over your mouth, an arm around your waist and pulled you into the alleyway beside one of the buildings. Of course you panicked so you tried screaming, kicking, and attempting to hit this person. Were you really getting kidnapped in broad daylight?

"Jesus calm down." The boy said.

You brought your hand up to try and smack him in the face.

"Okay, seriously if you break my glasses I'll break y-"

"Don't threaten her, she's scared. What girl wouldn't be scared in a situation like this? I also thought I said to be nice." You immediately knew who's voice that was, it was Ran's.

Hearing his voice caused you to panic more. Why? Well lets see, you watched him and someone else nearly murder a group of kids in a park, you've avoided him at all costs, and now some random man is pulling you into an alleyway with his hand over your mouth. Yep, this is where you die. Awesome.

"If I take my hand off her mouth she's gonna yell." The man said.

You heard the crunching of some gravel so you had assumed Ran was pacing. Was he thinking about how to torture you? How he could hurt you? You didn't know and really didn't wanna find out. All you could do was think of ways to get out of this situation.

You started to mumble into the mans hand that was still pressed harshly against your mouth.

"Umm Ran I think she's trying to say something."

"So let her speak then unless you can understand what she's mumbling." Ran spoke.

"I'm gonna move my hand just a little bit and if you try to scream my hands going right back over your mouth. Understood?"

You frantically nodded your head and soon felt the pressure on your mouth lift. You took some deep breaths before speaking.

"Ran please don't hurt me. I know I saw you and some guy in the park with the group of kids but I swear I didn't say anything to anyone. No one else knows I promise." You spoke, your voice shaking due to your nerves.

"Oi, shush you're getting a little loud." The man said shushing you slightly.

You heard a chuckle before getting turned around coming face to face with Ran.

"(Y/N) I promise neither me nor my brother wants to hurt you. I simply want to have a chat with you." He said coming close to your face.
