Luke.

I look into his green eyes, his messy hair a faded blue, his lips deep red and I think he's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. But sometimes beauty is just a disguise, to cover all the flaws we could find.

"Are you lost?" He spoke.

I froze. Should I answer him? Or should I just run? Can I trust him? What seems like millions of questions race through my mind. I feel like I might explode. I open my mouth to speak, but no words come out, so I just nod, and hope that I did the right thing.

He just smiled, I don't know why I'm shocked, but I am. He smiled at me, and suddenly I find myself freaking out because this beautiful stranger, just smiled at me. (it's also really late, most people would probably run away or be frozen from fear, but I'm not).

"I'm Michael" he says, so quietly it's almost a whisper. I don't know what to say. I never expected to ever be in this situation, I don't think anyone has, but he's speaking to me like we're meeting at school or at the park, not in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night.

"ok" I reply, and I want to slam my head against a brick wall because I sound so stupid.

---

It's only been a few hours but the beautiful stranger, isn't a stranger anymore, and I feel like we've become best friends.

He took me back to his home, which is located in an alleyway and the place surrounding it seems abandoned.

He told me how he ended up here and it seems like he was in a similar situation to me, except it was worse.

He said I could stay with him if I wanted, because living on the streets would probably be easier with two people, I agreed.

So I guess now we're two teenage boys living on the streets because our families could never accept us.
