i woke up to the sound of my blaring alarm. i groaned, "now i have to go to real work." my body was pretty sore from last night, a gang of guys were trying to rob a bank and i got kicked in my stomach trying to stop them.

ignoring the pain, i quickly got ready for my internship at oscorp, wearing my suit and keeping my clothes in my bag.

i left my mom a note in the kitchen before i left out my window, knowing my father was already gone.

'heading out for oscorp, a bunch of new interns are coming in today and i'm giving them a tour. let me know if u need me to pick up any groceries on my way back home. love u -gwen'

i pulled my mask over my head and went to my room, opening my window and crawling up the fire escape. once i got to the roof, i examined the view.

at this time in the morning, no one is paying attention to their surroundings, so it was a perfect time to swing around the city.

grinning to myself, i pulled my hood over my head, strapped on my bagpack, and ran to the edge of the rooftop. i leapt off and let myself fall, feeling the rush and adrenaline course through my veins.

once i got close enough to the ground, i held up my wrist and sent a web at a wall of a building and moved my body to do a swing movement. i arched my back and then brought my legs forward, letting go of the web and shooting another.

i landed on a wall of a building overrun with planes of glass. i stuck to it with one hand and one foot, letting my body hang. i looked back at the panels and saw my reflection. my lenses were shining in the early light of the sun, my hood was swaying against the wind.

grinning at myself, i let go and let myself fall. i sent another web and swung around, adrenaline going through me like never before.

i swung hard enough to land on another roof top, only to run across it again and jump off. i kept swinging through the city until i got near oscorp. i stayed on a rooftop and put my work clothes on top of my suit and put away my mask.

the roof had a door that led to a stair case, so i went down it and walked through the rest of the street as if i wasn't just now swinging around like a maniac.

i walked through the oscorp doors and greeted the lady at the front desk as i grabbed my id card. i went up the escalator and quietly waited for the rest of the interns to arrive on the floor i was on.

a quick sense ran over me, and i felt that something was off, but i couldn't pin point what it was. i tired brushing it off, but it wouldn't go away.

soon enough, the group of interns quickly came in and formed together. i got a notification from the front desk that all the interns had arrived, so put the feeling in the back of my head.

i walked up to them and greeted them as they admired the building. "welcome to oscorp. my name's gwen stacy. i'm a senior at mid.." my voice suddenly trailed off when i saw a familiar face in the crowd, but they slipped away behind everyone before i could figure out who it was. the only thing i could pin point was that they had glasses and a green-ish jacket.

i cleared my throat and continued, "at midtown science and i'm also head intern with dr. connors, so i'll be with you for the duration of your visit. where i go, you go. that's the basic rule. if you remember that, all will be fine. if you forget that, then-"
