Chapter 9: Protecting Her Smile

[Y/N POV]

Y/N: And yeah, me and her are together now. You can be proud of yourself now Amanda!

A smile spread across her face as she nodded her head in response to what I said.

Amanda: Good for you! And good for her as well! There was no need to thank me!

Y/N: W-well without your help I wouldn't have worked up the courage. H-However, she was the one who confessed to me.

Amanda: Awww that's so cute! Honestly, you're so sweet! She really does deserve you.

Y/N: Heh...

I was looking forward to seeing her after such a long day with only casual glances in class.

Amanda: I know that look! Fear not lover boy! She's on her way! I can see her coming right now!

Turning around, there she was. Slowly shuffling her way over to me, her getting red as I smiled at her.

Y/N: Lotte!!! Heya!!!

Lotte: H-Hi!

I shot up from my seat and launched myself at her, pulling her into a hug.

Y/N: I missed you!

Lotte: W-we sat next to each other in class silly! How could you miss me?

Y/N: Miss hugging you...

I squeezed her tighter as I heard her laugh and felt her wrap her arms around me.

Lotte: I-I missed it too...

She kissed me on the head so I lifted it up and grinned at her before gently placing my lips onto hers.

Y/N: I love you!

Lotte: I-I love you too!

Amanda: Awwww you two are so incredibly cute together! Like it's unbelievable how made for each other you are!

I nod my head and gently run my hand across Lotte's face.

Y/N: You're not wrong Amanda! Lotte is like an angel that fell from heaven to me!

Lotte blushed even more as she looked down at the floor and squirmed around.

Lotte: Y-Y-Y/N...stop...

Y/N: Awww do I have to? I'm just saying how perfect you are Lotte!

I lean down and smooch her cheek and run my fingers through her hair.

Y/N: I know you're easily flustered, but that's what makes you ten times cuter! I got so lucky with you!

Lotte: I-I got even luckier with you! O-other boys I've had a crush on have all rejected me! B-But I knew straight away you were different!

Y/N: Is it because I am so much more incredibly handsome then them?

She giggled and nodded her head.

Lotte: I-I'd say you are! Not just that though...you've genuinely been so kind to me...and stuck with me...others have bailed as soon as they discovered my quirks and hobbies...

Y/N: You do what you want and act how you want. As long as you stay the same Lotte that I met on my first day, we'll be fine!

A huge smile took its place on her face as she overwhelmed me by planting her lips onto mine and forcing me backwards.

Amanda was laughing in the background as I tried to regain my composure and kiss her back.

When she pulled away, we both continued to hold onto each other and just stare into each other's eyes.
