Chapter 7: Nightfall

[Y/N POV]

I slowly but surely got a lot perkier over the last few days. My illness was finally seeming to lift which seemed to make Lotte even happier than I had ever seen her.

She would always have a smile on her face and would be by my side.

But right now, she was stood side by side with the other two girls that made up our team in front of the headmistress.

I don't know why I was in the headmistresses office but somehow I was dragged into whatever mess my roommates were in.

Akko had apparently stole a tart from the cafeteria. Now the teachers were trying to come up with their punishment.

They settled with the punishment being that they would unload the food truck and then serve a detention with Professor Ursula.

Lotte: No! Please any day other than today!

This however did not go down very well with Lotte.

In her desperation, she grabs Akko's face and slams it down on the desk which makes me flinch.

Lotte: WearereallysorryjustpleaseletmegointotowntodayI'lldoanythingjustpleaseletmegointotown!

I couldn't even begin to comprehend what the hell she just said.

Although her desperation fell on deaf ears. The teachers disregarded it and tears started to well up in her eyes as the headmistress sent them out.

Holbrooke: Oh hello Mr L/N. Why are you in here?

Y/N: Akko dragged me in here...

Finnelan: You weren't involved were you young man?

She raises her eyebrow at me as I shake my head.

Y/N: Of course not ma'am. I wouldn't want to do anything that gets me into trouble. Especially after I just arrived. And anyway, I have been unwell for the past few days. Whatever they have done I can assure you I have had no involvement in.

Finnelan: I apologise for assuming you were involved. Make sure you stay out of any mess they get themselves into.

Y/N: I'll try my best!

She nods her head as I turn to walk out.

Y/N: Good day to the two of you!

I open the door and walk out of the room and close the door behind me, walking off to find my teammates.

I eventually find the three of them sitting down outside. I walk over to them and my presence is acknowledged by Akko.

Akko: Hey Y/N!

I wave at her as I turn to look at Lotte who looked really sad.

Y/N: H-hey what's wrong Lotte?

She doesn't respond as she keeps on staring into the distance. I wave my hand in front of her face and she doesn't even flinch.

Y/N: Woah. What's wrong with her?

Sucy: She wanted to go into town today for this Nightfall event that is happening. But Akko got us into detention for stealing a tart.

Y/N: I know. I was there. She dragged me.

I point at Akko who just pouts.

Y/N: Anyway what is Nightfall?

Just as Sucy was about to explain, Lotte jumps out of her seat and grabs my shoulders. She starts to go on about Nightfall explaining it to me in immense detail.
