Chapter 3> How about now?

"Next month the school is having their annual spring dance" Mr. Kingston tells us as he's walking around the class. Mr. Kingston is one of the cooler teachers but not the coolest. I saw him at the public pool last summer, wearing a speedo. I almost needed to bleach my eyes after that. "Now since its a school activity, everybody needs to be appropriate students at the dance, no funny business"
Yes Mr. Kingston everybody says sounding as if we were all falling asleep. When the bell rings I rush out of the classroom so I don't get stomped all over trying to walk out of the door. As I get into the hallway, I notice Jamie talking to someone. I can't see who it is but she seems to be getting mad...wait no...now she's laughing. I get closer up to her and see who she's talking too. It's...Justin. Her "ex-boyfriend." I don't really understand why she's talking to him. Just as I was about to go up to them, the bell rings and I head to my next class.

When the last bell rings in the afternoon and I get out of the school I decide to walk home and not take the bus. After a couple blocks it's starts to down poor. "Shit!" I yell loud enough that people two streets over can probably hear. I turn around to see if anyone is coming and find no one. Of course. I turn back around and try to find a tree or something.
*HONK*
I spin around and almost fall down. I look back and see a black car driving closer. I walk closer to the side of the street to try to see who it is. The car pulls up beside me and the window rolls down. There, sitting in the black sports car...Tanner. "You a little wet?" Tanner says with a smirk. "Ha not at all" I try saying sarcastically. "Get in, I'll take you home" He says motioning me to the other side of his car. I walk to the other side of his car and get in. I sit shaking and still, inside his all leather interior vehicle. We sit in silence for the first couple minutes and then he brakes it by asking me something. "Do you normally walk during rain storms?" He looks right at me when asking me. "Uh not usually" I say laughing a bit. "Oh turn here"
"So you gotta a boyfriend?" He blurts out. "Um that's kind of personal, but no. You gotta girlfriend?" I say trying to make a quick come back. "Oh wait, never mind" I quietly peep out.
"Ha it's fine, we aren't in the best place at the moment anyways" Wait him and Angel have a possible chance of braking up? I think to myself. "We're here" Tanner says parking the car in the driveway of my some what big 1970's style house. I un did my seat belt and looked back at him. "Thanks for the ride, I appreciate it"
I was just about to grab the handle of the door when Tanner yells "wait!" He gets out and runs to my side of the car. He opens my door and gives me his hand to help me out. "Aha thanks" I say while blushing. "Anytime" He replies while winking. He walks beside me to the front door. We both smile at each other. I keep looking into his ocean blue eyes and he does the same. Then, he leans down and kisses my cheek. He stands back up and starts chuckling. "Why are you laughing?" I say confused. "Because you're blushing" he says still laughing. Well it's not everyday a good looking guy kisses me...as I realize what I said, I whip my hand over my mouth as my eyes widen. Tanner has his hands in his pockets and starts blushing. "You think I'm good looking?" He says as if he's not that surprised. "Ha no not at all" I say sarcastically. "Ha it's fine, it doesn't hurt that you are too" Tanner adds to my comment. Did he just say what I think he said? Tanner heart thinks I'm good looking!? I scream inside my head. "Anyways I should get going but I'll see you tomorrow right?" Tanner yells back at me while walking back to his car. "Oh uh yes" my blushing self yells back to him. As he pulls out of the driveway I wave to him and head inside still smiling.

When I get into bed, I pull the covers over my legs, rest my head on my pillow and close my eyes...still smiling.
