(Takemichi pov. At age 5 in a dream)

I was in the forest trying to find my ball that I kicked, I looked everywhere till I realized it was night time and thunderstorms heads started to form in the night sky. I flinched at the sound of the thunder and I was starting to get scared. I looked around for shelter till I saw an old shrine with a lot of fox statues. I ran over there but before I got close the clouds parted as the bright moon shone but it was the color blue then a strike of lightning hit the shrine.

"Ah!" I screamed in fear as I trip and fall down while scraping my knees and arms. "O-owey..." sniffs "It hurts..." sniffs some more till I start to cry as the rain starts to pour hard.

"Why is a little human crying?" A woman's voice said as I looked up and saw a girl just sitting underneath the shrine as I saw long pointy ears and nine tails swaying side to side while looking at me with very beautiful blue eyes but they are kinda like cat like eyes.

"I-I um hurt myself by falling..." I said while still crying a little as she just looked at me.

"Hmm...come here boy." She said in a commanding voice and I got up while wincing from the pain but I managed to walk over to her. "Sit." She said while pointing beside her as I sat where she pointed at.

She touched my wounds as her hands started to glow and soon the pain started to fade away and the wounds started to heal up. My eyes widen and look at her as she looks at me with a soft smile.

"There...now tell me what year it is?" She asked me as I tilt my head at her.

"Um, it's 1996, why you ask?" I asked her as she looked shocked but soon smiled softly while giggling.

"Oh nothing, do you know where you are at?" She asked me as I looked around then shook my head no. "Well you are at my shrine, the shrine of foxes. You see I am a demon, one of the last kinds of the tail demons."

My eyes widened as I looked at her as I remembered one of the teachers told us a story about the tail demons, especially the last kind. The nine tail demon fox.

"You're the nine tail demon fox right?" I ask her as she smiles and nods.

"Yup...are you afraid of me?" She asked me with a smirk as I smiled wide and shook my head no fast as she looked at me shocked. "R-really?" She asked as I nodded my head yes.

"Mhm! I'm a huge fan of yours!" I said as she blushed and smiled softly at me and patted my head.

"Wow I didn't know I had a fan this time haha, well then how about I become your friend, I will stay by your side and whenever you need me I will be there." She said while wrapping one of her tails around me as I felt warmth from her tail and I smiled wider.

"Okay! I'm fine with that! Oh my name is Takemichi Hangaki but you can call me Takemichi if you want. What is your name? I only know your name as the nine tail demon fox." I said as she giggled.

"I have many names but you can call me (Y/N). That was my human name a long time ago." She said as I thought a little and smiled.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N) Hangaki!" I said with a wide smile as she smiled as her tails wags happily.

"Mhm yup! I don't mind using your last name, we can be...siblings, now let's get you home." She said while standing up as the rain stopped and I held her hand with a wide smile as we walked through the forest to the city.
