Chapter 4

Jo's pov

I still couldn't believe that we were stuck in this alternate reality. The Jinni or genie whatever she was called was still standing there looking at me and Hero. "Ablah how do we get out of here?" Hero asks her as she stands with her hands folded on her hips her blue outfit matching her skin tone with a shimmering glitter material. "I told you you need to be more precise with your wishes you only have two left so make them count" Ablah says looking at us coyly. "Ok then" Hero starts to say until I put my finger over his mouth saying "oh no mister you did enough it's my turn." "I was just going to suggest that you do that" he says chuckling as I look up at him his adorable dimples popping out. "Yeah that's what I thought" I said to him as I giggled and gave him a quick kiss on his lips.

"Ok we need to get back to our school and make sure everything is back to normal" I whisper to him as Ablah looks over at us impatiently. "If you don't wish it so then it doesn't count. No need to leave me out of the discussion" she says looking irritated with us. "We wish to go back to where you found us with our friends" I say confidently as Ablah nods her head saying "your wish is my command." Suddenly we are back in the woods near the secret hideout I can hear Josie and Lizzie arguing over something as I look over at Hero nervously. Ablah was nowhere to be seen as I looked around for her.

"There you two are, it's about damn time" Felix says looking disgruntled as he walks towards us. "Dude we ran into a Jinni a real life make a wish type shit" Hero says laughing which makes Felix scowl at him as he vamp speeds towards us and grabs Hero by the shirt shocking the both of us as I say "motus" and send Felix flying back from Hero. "What the hell Jo you should be on our side here or we'll all be dead soon. We don't got time for laughing and fun we already lost two more" Felix says angrily. "What are you on about?" Hero says looking at me worriedly as he goes towards the door I see his knees drop as I look inside and my heart sinks to the bottom of my stomach. I feel like I'm about to throw up as I see Mercy and Ralph dead each in their own casket. "This isn't the way we wanted to come back. I said to bring us back to our friends. You're the worse freaking Genie in the universe and yes I'm calling you a Genie because you suck Ablah you hear me" I scream at the top of my lungs as Faye grabs me and hugs me as I collapse in her arms.

"I'm so sorry baby sister" Hero says in between sobs as he holds her hand. "Hero we can fix this I promise you" I tell him bending down as I grab his cheeks with my hands forcing him to look away from his sister as his greenish blue eyes find mine. "It's our last wish Jo we can't screw this up" he says looking at me as I nod my head determinedly. "The Triads are coming quick we need a shield" Ric says as he holds a crossbow a scar I have never seen before across his face. "Ablah we need you now" I yell as M.G, Jake and the others look at me questionably.
"You rang" Ablah says in my ear as she appears behind me making me turn around quickly as I look her up and down and roll my eyes saying "this is not what we wished for you screwed up so fix it."

"You wished to be with your friends no? Well here they are, this is just one reality, there are many in which you are all intertwined. So you see I was just in my case to send you hear" Ablah says looking at us all. "My sister is dead, our friend is dead there is nothing just about this situation lady" Hero yells at her to which she ignores looking at me. "Why are you here? Did Malivore send you?" I ask her curiously. "As a Jinni we are to serve humans for 500 years and then we are set free. When I was on my last year of servitude I was approached by a mud man and was enveloped in darkness for many decades therefore never fulfilling my destiny" she says a little sadly. "That was Malivore" I tell her as she looks at me worriedly. "Well I need to help him or he'll send me back into the darkness" she says sternly placing her hands on her hips. "Who is this lady anyway? We need to get ready to fight" Jake states as he grabs a few bottles of different potions off the wooden table behind him.

"We don't need to fight. Protectivo en animum tribum. There that should buy us enough time" I say as I look at Hero whose tear stained cheeks break my heart. I can't even look towards the caskets or I'll lose my damn mind. "So if you had never met Malivore you would be free right now" I ask Ablah trying to get more information out of her. "Well yes but unfortunately that was not so" she answers looking grim. "Where are you going with this?" Hero asks me curiously looking down at me his greenish blue eyes filled with sadness. "Just trust me" I tell him giving him a firm kiss which he clings to as his hold on me tightens.

"Ablah I wish that you never met Malivore, so that you could be free and he could never send you here, so none of this ever happened" I say firmly after our lips part. Hero looks at her as do I as she looks at me smiling. "No human has ever wished me free before" she says looking stunned. "How is this going to get Mercy back?" Felix yells angrily. "Your wish is my command dear Josephine thank you" Ablah says as she folds her arms and nods her head suddenly me and Hero are back in the woods where Ablah had first approached us. "Please let that have worked" I say as Hero squeezes my hand.

"Geeze took you guys long enough come on" Mercy says as she stands in front of us the both of us look at her and smile as we run towards her. Hero let's go of my hand as he picks her up and hugs her hard twirling her around as she starts to giggle my heart bursts. "Bro come on you just saw me what's up?" she asks as Hero puts her down. "We just missed you is all" he says looking at me knowingly as I grab Mercy and hug her myself. "Awwe you guys are so sweet, but let's go we got a welcome home party to attend, so chop chop" she says snapping her fingers making me and Hero laugh as we follow her to the secret hideout.

"About time" Faye says pulling me through the door as I smile looking around at all the decorations my friends set up. Little lights were strung up everywhere and floating candles. Food and drinks were all over the tables and a bunch of bean bag chairs were set up in a circle. "We made witches brew let's get twisted sister's" Lizzie says passing me a red cup filled with the potent mixture. "Oh boy this should be interesting" M.G says making me giggle as Lizzie rolls her eyes at him smirking as she takes a huge gulp. "So glad your home Jo" Landon says as Ralph nods his head agreeing. "Drop that beat Felix" Jake says as Hero puts his arm around me grabbing the cup that Felix had just handed him and downing it one gulp. Felix turns the radio on his speaker and we all start to dance to  feel so close by Calvin Harris.

"And there's no stopping us right now, I feel so close to you right now" we all sing as we jump up and down our hands in the air with smiles on our faces as we let the beat of the music take over. Hero wraps his arms around me from behind as we continue to dance and he kisses my neck sending shivers down my spine. I feel like the luckiest girl ever to be surrounded by such amazing friends who are now my family for life. "I feel so close to you right now" Hero whispers in my ear as I smile turning around and shake my hips to the beat as I grab his neck pulling him down in a scorching kiss as our lips mold together and our tongues collide. I just hope we can get through what ever monster Malivore sends us next or that we can stop him once and for all. I push the thoughts from Malivore from my mind as I focus on Hero and our family having fun and being young and carefree for once in our lives. No monster talk, no one trying to kill us just some good clean fun with a few magical twists.
