Takes place back in 2015

The next few months were horrid. Your emotions were all over the place. You're apartment was fixed so you ended up going back home with Paisley. You ignored everyones texts and calls. There was only one person you wanted and he was busy so you just stayed home and hung out with Paisley. You watched a lot of stupid romcoms and ate a lot of ice cream. It was the only thing that peaked your interest. Steve came over even though you told him not to he would bring you food and make sure you were alright.

He filled you in on what was going on with him and would take the dog for walks. There was one day were you just couldn't take it anymore, the sadness, the anger, the everything and if he hadn't been there then you would be in a morgue with no feeling, no anything. It was starting to get colder out and the leaves were falling. This was your favorite season since you could remember. You and Steve used to go and pick out all the red leaves and give them to your mom because they were her favorite, and ever since then you still pick everyone you find and take them to her grave.

You were laying in bed when Steve barged in with a empty brown bag and a smile on his face. You knew what he was going to do and it made me smile that he remembered after all this time. "Let's go." He said pulling you out of bed. He turned on the shower for you and you got all cleaned up. You got dressed and he slipped your coat on. You slipped your shoes on and threw a hat over your wet curly brown hair. You grabbed the dog and the two of you walked outside. It was the first time you'd been outside in a few weeks. You smiled at all the leaves on the ground.

"Steve." You said. He looked down at you and pulled you close. "I know." He said smiling. You looked down and picked up a leaf. It brought a big smile to your lips. You placed it in the bag and went looking for more. You look off to the side and see Bucky standing there with some in his hands. You let out a small sigh and run up to him. He hugged you so tight, the air was quickly running out. "Buck- I can't breath." He let go and smiled. "Sorry Doll. I'm glad to see you out of bed." You brushed it off and took his leafs. You gave them to Steve and took Paisley. You let her off the leash and the two of you ran all around the park looking for leafs and playing fetch. it was the most fun the two of you have had in a long time. Your mind was completely free for the first time in 3 months.

You looked over at Steve and then noticed the man walking by him. Your eyes went wide and you walked up to Steve just to get a better look. Paisley took off as soon as she caught his scent. "Paisley come back!" You yelled but by the time you got the words out she was already jumping all over him. He turned around and as soon as he saw you his expression dropped. "Paisley come on." You said grabbing her collar and hooking her leash back up. You walked away but were pulled back. "Y/n are you just going to ignore me?" He asked.
