Chapter 8

Takes place back in 2015

  You and Pietro get to the bar and you walk in. He opened the door for you and you smiled as you seen your friends in there. You walked up the bar and smiled. You guys got a table and ordered drinks. "What are you thinking about getting food wise?" He asked you smiling. "I don't I'm thinking a Bacon Cheeseburger" He smiled and shook his head. "Sounds good to me." A women came over with a smile. "What can I get you today?" He let you order first like a gentleman. The two of you talked up a storm waiting for your food.

  "So can I ask you something?" He asked you. You gave him a smile and shook your head. "So how am I doing so far?" You giggled. "This an amazing date Pietro." He smiled and took a drink. Your burgers came and the two of you devoured them. You finished your burger and got some shots. Your friends decided to join you without even asking. "Pietro I hope this is okay." You said as you placed your hand on his. He shook his hand and kissed your forehead. You drank with them until around midnight.

  He got you back to the compound and you were stumbling in the door laughing with him. You sobered up real quick when you saw Bucky kissing on a girl. You blinked a couple times to make sure you were seeing the right thing. You looked down and were greeted by Paisley. She jumped all over the two of you. You left go of his arm and fell right over. You started laughing as he lifted you back up. "I'm so sorry." He walked you up to your room and took your sneakers off. He rolled you over and pulled the blankets over top of you. Wanda walked in and smiled. "I'll take over." She said smiling.

  Pietro kissed your forehead and smiled. "I'll see you in the morning." He said as he shut the door behind him. She grabbed a makeup wipe and cleaned off your face. You fished out your contacts and handed them to her. She brushed your hair out and took off your jewelry. "Hell of a first night huh?" You said laughing. She smiled and laid you down. "Thank you Wanda." She shook her head and called for Paisley. Paisley jumped up on the bed and laid down with you. "I'll see you in the morning." She said as she shut off the light and closed the door.

THE NEXT MORNING...

    You sat up as you felt the sun hit your face. You woke up a little then threw on a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. You threw your hair up into a messy bun and watched as Paisley jumped down and took a big stretch. You opened your box of contacts and screamed in your head. You threw on your glasses and made your way downstairs. You looked around and spotted Steve. You smiled and walked up to him. He held out his arms with a smile. "You look exhausted." He said laughing. He kissed your forehead and smiled. "Want me to take Paisley out?" You shook your head and smiled. "There's coffee over there." He pointed to the counter.

  You grabbed a glass and poured some coffee. You got in the fridge and poured some milk and sugar in the cup. You grabbed your cup and walked outside. You saw Bucky running with Paisley in the yard. You sat down on the grass and drank your coffee. She came running up to you and gave you kisses. She stuck her nose in your cup and drank some of your coffee. "You can't have that." You said laughing as she backed up disgusted. Pietro saw you outside and sat down beside you. "Good morning beautiful." You smiled and offered him a sip of your coffee. He shook his head and smiled. "Thank you but I already had some." God that accent sometimes just hits the spot. You look over at Paisley who was running for Pietro. You moved away as she plowed him over. "Paisley." He starts laughing and shakes his head. "She's alright." You drank the rest of your coffee and got up. "Come on monkey time to eat." You say as you walk back to the doors. "Yo speedy you coming?" You ask looking back at him with a smile.

  He gets up with a smile and swoops you up in the matter of seconds. He opens the door and lets you down. You walk in and smile. "Steve what happen to you letting Paisley out? Why was she out there with James?"He smiled sheepishly. You shook your head and walked up the stairs. You took Paisley's bowls and food downstairs and into the kitchen. You gave her food a Wanda filled up her water bowl. You smiled and watched as she did up the dishes that were in the sink from last night. "You know I think Pietro really likes you." You smile as you hop up on the counter and dry the dishes. "Yeah?" She turned around and shook her head. "Yeah he talked about you last night and I could see it on his mind." You smiled.

  You jumped off the counter and scratched Paisley's head. You walked up to your room and jumped in the shower. You washed your hair and your body. You got out and wrapped a towel around your body. You opened the door and jumped back. "BUCKY WHAT THE HELL?!" You screamed. He smiled and watched your towel drop. He quickly turned around and you threw on your robe. "Buck you knew I was in the shower you could obviously hear the water going so what the hell?" He laughed it off and shook his head. "What's up with you and Wanda's brother?" You scoff. "Why does it matter?" He walked up to you and grabbed your arm.

  His grip got tighter. You winced in pain. "Buck you're hurting me." You said. He let go and frowned. "Sorry." He said as he walked out of your room. You shook your head and just brushed it off. You grabbed a pair of blue jeans with holes in the knees and slipped them on. You looked in the mirror at the scar on your stomach. You hooked your bra and slid your t-shirt on. You smiled as you could see Steve coming up behind you in the mirror. "How about we go see mom today?" You smiled and shook your head. "That would be amazing." You said as you hugged him. "Thank you Steve."

He looked down at you confused. "You always know what I need." He smiled and shook his head. "It's my job." You pushed him softly and brushed your hair. "Meet you downstairs in 20." He said as he walked out. You moisturized you face and then threw a coat on. You grabbed your hat and put it on over your damp hair. You grabbed your phone and headed to the kitchen to find Steve. You smiled as you saw Pietro watching you walk by. "What are you looking at?" Steve asked him. He laughed and walked away. You stopped him and smiled. "Last night was really fun by the way." He turned around and smiled. "Yeah it was fun."

You watched as Steve gave you a look and pulled you away from Pietro. You kissed Paisley on the nose and walked out the door. "Steve you're such a buzz kill." He laughed and shook his head. "Get in the car." You got in and smiled as he handed you the bag of leafs. It was stupid but having Steve do this with you made you feel whole again. He pulled up to the cemetery and you got out. You walked up to her stone and smiled. "Hi mom." You said as you sat down in the grass. You spread the leafs across the ground and set flowers beside them.

You told her about how you were sorry for not coming to visit and about what has happened to you recently. Steve said some things to her and then we were off to the car. You felt free again. You got in the car and smiled. "Thank you Steve." He smiled and grabbed your hand. "Listen there's something I need to tell you." You looked at him and smiled. "Listen if this is about the whole Pietro thing. It was one date Steve it's not the end of the world." "No it wasn't and we both know that. You like him. You're still that little girl that falls inlove with anyone who gives her a little bit of attention."

You roll your eyes and look out the window. "Steve this is my life you can't tell me who I can and can't date." "I'm not trying to I just don't want you to get your heart broken." "Just stay out of my love life Steve. God your such a pain in my ass." He laughed and we headed back to the compound. He pulled up and you felt this sudden urge to puke. You hawled ass to your bathroom and quietly threw up. You felt two hands grab your hair and slightly pull it back from your face. You wipe your mouth to see...
