The Spitfires were up against the Hurricanes for the bronze medal. In the first period, the Hurricanes scored. But they didn't lose hope yet. A defenceman got a breakaway, she shot then scored to tie the game up to 1-1.
Second period went down hill for the Spitfires. They got three more goals scored on because they were not playing as a team. People were cherry picking at the opponent's blue line hoping to get a pass straight to their stick. It only worked a few times but it did not result in a goal for any of the times. The Spitfires forward left the goalie and the defense to do all the work which continued into the third period.
In the third period, the Spitfires got scored on two more times. The score was now 7-1 in the bronze medal game. Many people excepected a game for a medal to be fairly close. Everybody on the Spitfires and who are for the Spitfires lost faith. They knew the Hurricanes would take home the bronze medal.
The end of the game was the hardest part, the Spitfires had to watch the Hurricanes accept the bronze medal without themselves reciving anything. They had to shake hands with the winners of the match and owners of the bronze medal. Everyone was sad but the Hurricanes deserved to win. The Spitfires did not show up therefore they lost.
