Olivia continued her studying, humming a song to herself. A knocking sound startled her, and she looked up to find Peter sitting on the fire extinguisher waving. She smiled and shook her head. She rushed to open the window with a smile upon her face.

She opened the window and greeted him, "Hi Pete,"

He gave her a smile.

The sweet moment faded and she realized where he was, "How did you get out there?"

"The fire escape," He explained, but Olivia wasn't buying it.

She had some kind of sense he was lying.

"Your doorman's intimidating," He explained further finally crawling in.

"It's 20 stories, Peter," She stated, looking past him trying to see the bottom.

"Yeah," He agreed looking down, then back at her, her eyes held a questioning look.

"Sorry for forgetting to tell you that my apartment was 2021," She apologized again. "I meant to, but the whole rash thing on your eye kinda freaked me out."

"It's totally fine," He smiled looking around, observing every detail in her room.

Her bed, her book shelf, the pictures on her wall, he observed all of it.

He huffed out a response, "This is your room,"

"Yes it is," She laughed, watching Peter admire the small things.

"Books," He noted, he stared into her eyes. "Oh! I- um- got these for your mom."

He pulled a bouquet of flowers out of his backpack. To be honest, the flowers were a bit ratty. Olivia let a laugh slip from her mouth as she watched him frown.

"I promise they were very pretty," He tried to keep a straight face as he handed them to her.

"They're beautiful," She assured, taking them from his hands.

"I'm sorry," He said.

"No!" She exclaimed. "It's actually impressive. They held together very well."

"I should keep these," He reached his hand out, taking the flowers carefully from Olivia and shoving them into his backpack again.

"Do you have your suit in there?" She asked trying to peak into the backpack. He wore something not very, well, good for dinner with her parents.

His head shot back up, his eyes wide.

"Okay not suspicious at all.." She thought.

"What?" He stuttered, closing his bag quickly.

"Your suit?" She said again, thoughts racing through her head. "You know, for... dinner."

He seemed to calm down, she noticed. The tenseness in his body seemed to melt away.

Before she spoke, her door swung open. Her dad's eyebrow raised, and his hand on his holster.
