⊹ Authors POV ⊹
"MHMM! YOU SPELT it right! Good job 5.0.5, it looks great!" You cheered as you smiled brightly at the blue bear.
He was having trouble spelling something on his picture, so you helped but he did the rest.
5.0.5 smiled back and engulfed you in a giant hug. You hugged him back and pecked his head. He then let go as he went to continue on his drawing.
You smiled faintly at him before walking off. You wandered through the hallways, your mind thinking about a certain doctor. You didn't know how to feel that he was in your thoughts a lot.
You sighed and decided maybe to pay him a visit. Maybe that'd clear up your thoughts a bit...or worsen them...
Your shoes silently walked towards the laboratory, you walked in and glanced around before almost tripping.
You saw Flug with a needle and scalpel in his gloved hands. He was experimenting on Atticus who seemed to be so stunned that he couldn't even scream.
A light blush found its way onto your face. Something about Flug doing this kind of stuff made your heart beat just a bit faster.
You cleared your throat to get his attention. Flug turned his head in your direction, you immediately waved at him with a small smile.
"Sorry if I disturbed you doc, just wanted to drop by." You explained.
Flug placed down his supplies. He then poured a liquid from a vile into Atticus's mouth. He waited a second before pressing his fingers on his neck checking for a pulse.
Flug then walked over by you, he seemed to be smiling even if you couldn't quite tell. You had noticed over time how sometimes he would almost switch from one personality to another depending if he was experimenting or not.
"Ah no worries [y/n], you're always welcomed here." He happily told you.
You smiled brightly at him. "Thanks Flug, I appreciate that." You sheepishly said.
Flug gave a small laugh before guiding you over to where his desk was. He picked up some papers as you sat on top of it looking at the other ones.
"So, may I ask why you came here?" He asked you as your eyes glanced over at him.
You didn't want to tell him because he might've been living rent free in your head, so you simply said. "I just wanted to hang out with you, plus I want to learn a bit more about you. Yesterday was fun, well before the whole trap thing...and we got to know a bit more about each other." You told him.
He felt a blush creep up on his face. He looked over at you and gave a small nod.
"S-sure, but in return...you must tell me things about you as well. I also want to find out more about you." He said with a smile.
You beamed at him. "Deal!" You accepted.
He gave a slight laugh. "But you have to go first." He also added, since he's an anxious guy.
You gave him a small pout before agreeing once again. "Fine fine, so what do you want to know?" You asked him.
He wanted to ask you so much, but wanted to start out easy. You still seemed like such a mystery to him as he was to you.
"Hmm, how about what your hobbies are?" He brought up.
You pondered for a second before responding. "I like to dance, especially at night. I find it very relaxing. I guess listening to music while baking as well, I used to bake a lot with my uncle so I guess it stuck. What about you?" You told him before asking.
"Those sound nice. I um...I'm not much of a dancer, or a music person, sorry." He awkwardly spoke.
You gave him a warm look. "You don't have to be sorry about that, those are just interests. I want to hear yours, because of course they're not going to be the exact same as mine." You explained with a laugh.
He nervously scratched the back of his bag. "Well then, I think you already know I like planes. I um, I like making them as well. I also enjoy baking, 5.0.5 usually does it with me. Sometimes I enjoy a good book." He said, now feeling a bit more comfortable.
You listened and gave a nod. "Those sound like wonderful hobbies doc. Maybe we could bake something together some time." You quietly said with a smile.
His face was on fire, not literally because that'd be painful, but more of a sudden blush flushing his face. He then gave a small sigh.
"I'd enjoy that, I don't think I've done that with somebody since...before I went to college and left my family." He mumbled.
Your lips turned into a small frown. "Oh, I'm sorry." You apologized this time, feeling bad that you might've brought up bad memories.
He shook his head. "No, you're fine. I'm just on...bad terms with them. They were..something." He sighed again.
You casted a sympathetic glance. "I can't say I exactly know what you mean, but I've been there. This is the first time I haven't contacted my uncle in a year." You explained as your eyes wandered off to the side.
Flug looked over at you, maybe you two weren't that different as he initially thought. He noticed how you were looking away, as if reminiscing of your memories.
He looked at your bare hand that was sitting by your side on the desk. He wanted to give you comfort but felt nervous on how. He then glanced at his own gloved hand. 'C'mon Flug, just do it!' His inner voice shouted.
He internally sighed as he confidently moved his hand over on top of yours. Your eyes suddenly widened at the touch of his familiar hand resting on your own. You looked over at him and gave him a smile as he gave your hand a gentle squeeze.
"[y/n], remember when you offered that you were always there to talk to about—well..family issues, well, I'm here too." He reassured you.
Your cheeks quickly developed a light blush. Your eyes never left his. "Thanks, Flug."
The rest of the day, even when taking notes on experiments, you both continued to talk with one another. Wanting to learn even more about the person they called 'friend'.
