Zhan was working peacefully in his office until he heard his private phone buzz. He owned two phones - as a businessman that was surely expected. His business phone was always on silent since it was the one giving him the most notifications - useless most of the time - but still important. On the other hand - his private phone barely had anything. Which is why he never bothered to turn on his notifications.

Zhan picks up his private phone and widens his eyes for a split second at the text Zi had sent him. His wife, or soon to be ex-wife - who has now become his good friend and housemate - was the only one who he talked to. The two of them had many conversations about their divorce, talked to lawyers and legal professionals - and their divorce will be taking place soon. On August the 5th. Perhaps it was best for their marriage to come to an end as their relationship as friends was much better. Not that much changed.

Zi texted to let Zhan know that she will be bringing her new boyfriend over for dinner. And she asked him to tell Liying about it and ask if she wanted to join. Zhan agrees right away. He knew from the moment he married her that he could never keep her happy. Because they just weren't compatible in any way. Anyways, he placed the phone down and sighed, thinking for a moment. Should I tell A-Li?

only to see it completely deserted. She's probably in her room...

He awkwardly made it to Liying's bedroom door. Ah okay... um... Zhan brings a fist up to knock, but Liying suddenly opens the door. The two of them stare at each other for a minute or so.

"A-Are you.. Going somewhere?", he asked and Liying raised an eyebrow before shaking her head.

"No - I'm just hungry... Why?"

Zhan moves out of her way with internal panic as he quickly blurts the first thing that came to his mind.

"I was wondering if you wanted to order something..."

"Yea... that's what I was about to do... Didn't think you liked food delivery...", she said, as she walked to the kitchen counter to get a drink.

"Oh no.. I don't.."
