The Aftermath. Confusion and Dreams

I wanted to start this chapter off by apologizing for any confusing parts. I will explain more about what each scene is saying/doing at the bottom.

That being said, I was inspired to write like this by reading The White Snake (English Version) by RilaZou on Fanfiction.net. It's for a different fandom but it's written brilliantly (yes, there are a lot of typos but they can be ignored for the amazing storytelling).

Everything in italics are something that Tanjiro is remembering or thoughts that he is having.

I've tried to keep Nezuko, Giyuu, and Sakonji in character but I'm pretty sure that I failed. Muzan is OOC for the headcannon that is driving this story.

Warning for this chapter: There is demonic turning in the middle. Muzan kisses Tanjiro and forces him to drink his blood. Could be seen as dubious consent (it's not).

More information at the bottom of this chapter.

I hope everyone enjoys this chapter and sorry if it's a little short!

"Tanjiro!"

What is going on? The red-head wondered, his body floating in an empty expanse. It was dark and he was in pain but only barely.

"Tanjiro!"

Where am I? What happened to me?

He couldn't remember anything, not even his own name.

Who am I again?

"Tanjiro niisan!"

Older brother? Who's speaking anyways, it's annoying.

His fingers twitched as feeling slowly returned to his body.

"I swear that I'll save you niisan! Your imouto has got you. You're going to be just fine!"

Do I have a younger sister? What's her name?

The cotton in his head made it hard for him to think.

I just want to sleep.

"Please don't give up! You were amazing, niisan! Why would you do something so damn reckless to risk your own life to save mine? Saburo-jii told me everything and boy do I have some words to say to you when you wake up!"

So she followed my order... I'm glad Nezuko's safe.

"Tanjiro!"

The red-head groaned as he slowly woke up, his eyes a startling garnet, so different than his usual rose color.

His eyes lazily searched the small room to find the source of the voice that hadn't stopped calling his name.

He didn't have to look very far, as a young girl was standing over him. She had dark black hair and purple eyes that were sparkling with tears.

The red-head lifted a hand to the girl's cheek, stopping when he saw that his nails were clawed.

I don't want to hurt her.

"T-tanjiro?"

His eyes snapped back to the girl, his head tilting to the side.

I'm sleepy and... hungry.

The red-head took his eyes off the girl and looked around the room, looking for something to eat. His eyes fell onto two men who were watching his interaction with the girl with wide eyes.
