"Jean it's been years. What makes you think you will find her now all of a sudden?"

Lumine asks the tall blonde woman who is standing in the middle of the room packing her backpack.

"You didn't find her. Nor did the best knights in Mondstadt. If it doesn't work out I need to do it myself."

Jean stands up taking a sword in her hand and swinging it one, two, three times before looking Lumine in the eyes, a serious expression plastered on her face.

The young blonde girl next to Jean turns around to face the big door behind them.

"I can't let you go alone!" With those words Lumine walks up to Jean and looks at her.

"It's dangerous. If it wasn't dangerous Lisa would have returned by now."

Lumine looks down knowing what she said was not the best choice of words.

Jean looks away before smiling slightly at the sight of Lumine almost holding onto the backpack she was holding as if trying to stop her from leaving.

"Don't worry Lumine. I will find her and I will return together with Lisa. That's a promise. Please take care of everyone."

With that Jean leaves the building shutting the door quietly leaving Lumine speechless.

It's around noon when Jean makes her way down Mondstadt buying some food she might need and telling everyone where she is heading.

"Lisa? I haven't seen her in so long. I doubt you will find her. Your best knights weren't successful so why should you be?"

Jean would answer in a calm manner claiming that she is "better than half of the knights in Mondstadt"

She isn't a person to get easily mad at something or someone. Especially if it's a verbal attack.

Of course when it comes to the topic with Lisa things are different. The people in Mondstadt know about her affair with Lisa but many don't know how much Lisa actually means to Jean.

So much that Jean would risk her own life to find and save Lisa.

After wandering through Mondstadt and talking to the people Jean eventually grows tired of hearing everyone say things about how there's no point in searching for Lisa since she's been gone for almost two years.

She doesn't believe it. Or more likely doesn't want to believe it.

Of course who would ever accept the fact that their lover never returned from a mission for two years?

It was a simple mission, she had to explore a certain part of the forest together with Lumine. But when Lumine came back all she said was that Lisa fell into a hole and they couldn't hear her all of a sudden.

So of course Jean is planning to climb down that hole and go further just to find her Lisa.

After setting up everything including a rope to get down into the hole Jean starts climbing down.

It's very dark but Jean doesn't care that much at least not now. Only thing that matters is to finally find Lisa.

Climbing down deeper and deeper Jean slowly starts feeling dizzy and more weak.

She feels like she's going to fall down with every step she takes though the rope is still holding her tight.

Eventually her legs start giving up and she tries to hold onto the rock she was climbing down.

"No..." Jean whispers before slipping and falling down with the rope still around her waist.

Opening her eyes slowly the woman looks at the sky.

There is no sky. She fell so deep into the hole that no sky is recognizable.

She puts her hand on her head and slowly stands up noticing another female sitting across from her.

The woman's bright green eyes piercing through Jean's blue ones.

"What's your name?" Jean's companion asks slightly titling her head to the left.

All of a sudden Jean seems to forget everything. She thinks for a moment before quietly answering: "My name is Jean."

The other woman gives Jean a soft smile before reaching out for her hand and pulling her up.

"I have the feeling you also lost your memory. Is that correct? Can you tell me why you're here?"

Jean takes a moment to respond. Many thoughts racing in her head and still she can't seem to figure out what happened before she woke up.

"My head hurts. I think I fell from somewhere. A high mountain or a building."

Her companion let out a giggle: "That is true indeed my dear. I was just walking around searching for mushrooms and then you just fell from the sky like an angel."

Jean slightly blushes at the comment.

The girl with light brown hair and green eyes offers Jean to take her home with her and serve some tea until she remembers why she climbed into the hole.

Being polite Jean accepts the offer and starts walking next to the girl before asking her politely: "You didn't tell me your name yet. May I know what it is?"

The woman turns around not stopping her walk and smiles: "My name is Lisa."
