Warm calloused hands stroked soft skin ever so gently. You could feel yourself start to stir awake, and as you opened your eyes all that was left was the soft groan of the old wood floors and the whisper of a touch on your skin.
I rubbed the sleep from my eyes as I sat up in my bed. I realized it was raining once again as I looked out the window past the thick curtains. "Typical UK weather" I muttered under my breath. I pulled the covers away as I swung my legs over the edge deciding if I should actually get out of bed. Well, I've already started getting up...but the bed...it's so comfy. Deciding against it I climb out of bed and sulk over to the dresser, already missing the warmth of my oh so comfy bed. Pulling out a random outfit, I head to the bathroom and get ready to shower. I get into the shower not realizing I forgot to lock the bathroom door. It doesn't really matter anyways right? It's only me and the doll here so surely I don't need to lock the door. This proves to be false, even if you don't know it, there is someone else.
A tall figure stands outside the door, unbeknownst to you however. While you wash away the soap in your hair and on your face, a figure creeps in. You don't notice at all as he steals the change of clothes you had hung on the towel rack. He stops for a second just watching you, peering from the doorway, just out of your view. He stalks back to the walls, leaving no trace that he had ever been there.
I turn the water off as I exit the shower, wrapping a towel around me. I go to grab my clothes off the towel rack only to realize they're missing. I brought my clothes in with me right? I was pretty sure I did, didn't I? It must've been Brahms. The thought was unsettling to say the least but it wasn't surprising after all that had been going on. Pushing the thought aside I head to my room and grab a pair of skinny jeans and a baggy hoodie. (A/N: You can obviously substitute this with whatever outfit you'd like instead!) I get dressed and grab Brahms from under the covers, almost forgetting he had even "slept" in my room. I quickly get him dressed and head downstairs to eat breakfast.
I enter the kitchen, setting Brahms down at the table while I start a fresh pot of coffee. I scourge through the cupboards and manage to find a pack of crackers. They're a little stale but it'll do. I open the package and take a few out placing them on a napkin while I make myself a cup of coffee. I drink my coffee and eat my crackers in a comfortable silence. After I finish in the kitchen I head up to the study carrying Brahms over my shoulder. After a few hours of loud classical music and some reading from an old book my eyes feel heavy. I head up to my room and lay back onto the comfort of my bed, deciding that I'll just bring Brahms with me rather than put him in his own room. It's almost as if the moment my head it the pillow I drifted to sleep, but before I slipped into total unconsciousness I swear I heard a whisper of a child's voice.
They're so pretty, I want to hold them. I gaze at them from where I stand in the hallway through the open door. They look so peaceful when they sleep, they even have little me with them. I stalked into the room, my bare feet padding along the floor softly. I brushed the fallen hair from their face, a small smile settling on my face. I pulled the blanket further, tucking them in before moving towards the closet. I throw one last glance over my shoulder, pleased, and make my way into the walls once again.
So sorry this chapter is so short,it took longer than expected to be finished and published. I've been sick the past week and struggled a lot with finding the motivation to write anything. I hope you enjoyed this chapter nonetheless. Also if you don't like being called pretty or anything like that feel free to change it, this story is meant to be inclusive to everyone! :)
