Percy's pov.

Bruce invited me out to lunch to apologize I argued that he shouldn't be the one that's sorry it should be tony

I threw on a blue v neck and jeans I had protection

I mean riptide and my shield watch

I met Bruce at Central Park I waved at him "hey Bruce "

He nodded and we started walking
"So where do you want to eat?" he asked

"Actually I have another idea" we hailed a cab and stopped in front of a familiar store we walked in

Bruce raised an eyebrow at me
"A candy store?" I nodded and picked up some blue candy

"My mom use to work here when I was a kid I was always away from her because of boarding school and my horrible step dad" I said fondly and handed him a blue pice if taffy

He laughed an nodded

"Got to enjoy all the little things"

I nodded in agreement "I love blue food" he chewed the candy and grabbed a bag

"Why blue?" I grabbed a bag and started pulling blue food candy

"Why not? my mom and step dad got into a fight one time about blue food e said it was useless because there was no such thing well..." I threw a blue butter finger into my bag and he laughed

"My mom made blue cookies and pancakes the next day" we laughed he grabbed a few blue candies

"That's a family tradition I can respect my family would ride houses when I was a kid" Bruce said

"Really? I'm great with horses I ride all the time can you still ride?" He shrugged

"I don't think that would be the best idea for a guy with anger problems"
I threw a small gummy bear in his bag

"You can't let the 'other guy' stop you from being...... you ,you should try riding again" he smiled

A full honest smile

"Thanks percy I think I will" I licked the back of a gummy bear and stuck it on my forehead a green bear stuck in the middle of my forehead

"What do you think does it suit me?" I joked he laughed at me

"It matches your eyes" I batted my eyelashes and flicked it off

"So what's up with your friend tony? is he still going to kill me? because let's face it 'watch your back' is not the worst threat someone has said to me" he sighed

"Tony can be a little dramatic" I laughed "a little, man my uncle is more dramatic them him on a weekend" cue thunder

"I haven been talking to him this is not the first time he ruined something for the team"

I patted his arm "every one make's mistakes even me,i have done something's no one should have to do but you know what I had my friends there to pull me along with them ,Bruce your friend tony just has a little more of a ego on his them most people you just have to wait it out ,if he cares enough about you then he will apologize" I finished my speech

"Knowing him its going to take a while" he frowned and picked up an pink egg

"Is this candy or a decoration?" he said and turned it around I took it from him

"Only one way to find out" I grinned and took a bite of it

Orange yolk and pink shell I coughed and sputtered it out into a trash can

"It was real!?" I coughed again Bruce was laughing at my antics

"Maybe you should have just asked" he laughed again when I blushed

"That tasted horrible" I mutter as we set are bags on the counter

"Probably because you weren't suppose to eat it" he smirked and I coughed into my hand

"Yeah I think I'm going to cough up a few pink egg shells later" he laughed with me

The lady smiled and ringed up are bags if candy

"My girlfriend is out of town so she won't kill me about this much candy" I said he nodded

"If you eat it in time" he said and we walked out I shrugged "challenge accepted" I snorted

We stopped at the end of the road
"We should do this again percy I had fun" I nodded

"Sure sound's great" I gave him my number

I was happy I was friends with Bruce I felt normal around him

Even if we were both the complete opposite of normal

But that's what makes us human
