Right after I wake up on Monday morning, I do my morning routine, and hop onto the bus. When I walk down the row of seats, I see Daesi sitting at the very back. So I go on over to her, and sit next to her. A few minutes later, we arrive at the next stop, where Ivy gets on.
"Hey Ivy!" Says Daesi.
"Hello!" Replies Ivy. "What are you doing Lauri?"
"What? Oh, I'm looking for my notebook. For a baking club after school." I say. "Are either of you guys going to be joining?" I ask.
"No sorry, I've got Art club today." Says Daesi
"And I am in the writers club." Exclaims Ivy.
"Oh Okay." I say, right as the bus stops at school.
"We're at school, kids!" Says the bus driver.
Daesi, Ivy and I get out of our seats and grab out backpacks from underneath the seat. Then we walk out of the door and walk to the benches, which are right outside of the school, and sit down on them while we wait for the bell to ring.
After school, I wait until 2:50 for the baking club to start. When It's a few minutes before 2:50, I start walking over to the student-kitchen. When I get there I am so surprised, because I see the teacher. And the teacher is none other than Mr.Mauliu! Can you believe it?! Mr.Mauliu, the teacher that is super mean. MY HOMEROOM TEACHER! Ugh. I was SO mad.
"Hello there!" says Mr.Mauliu.
"Hello Mr.Mauliu." I say.
"Are you here for the baking club?" He asks.
"Yes I am. Are you the teacher?"
"Yup. Surprise!" He said.
I felt like I could not bear to learn how to bake! Even if I wanted to ever since my mom passed away! I felt betrayed.
"Okay Everyone! Let's get started." He said cheerfully.
How we started was simple, we learned what baking supplies are called, and what they are used for. And then Mr.Mauliu taught the club how to make sugar cookies with just 4 ingredients, the ingredients are, sugar, flour, eggs, and vanilla extract. After that, I checked the time, and wow, time goes by so fast! It was already 3:50, and the club ends at 3:55!
"Okay class! Time to start cleaning up!" Says Mr.Mauliu.
"Yes Mr.Mauliu!" Says the class.
So everyone cleans up, and then got dismissed. And once I get outside of the school, I remember that the bus will not be here to pick me up, so I had to go into the school to use the office phone to phone Atlas or Jean.
"Hey Atlas, I forgot that I can't ride the bus home, because the bus driver's day ends at 3:00. Do you think you could walk here so I can walk back with you?" I ask.
"Sure, I'll be there around 4:15, because I'm at the bakery with Arlina. See you soon!" Replies Atlas.
"Okay. See ya soon." I say.
