Part 4

"Hello there~" Garmadon breathes.

Clyde stares up at the Lord with wide eyes. He had never been face to face with him and honestly never hopes he would. His tall frame, pitch black skin, dark, glowing red eyes, and his long four arms; one one Clyde's shoulder, one holding his shirt lifting him up to his eye level, and the other two holding his hips. He had a contorted grin on his face; a mixture of anger, and keenness, and his eyes were filled with bloodlust.

"D-dad." Lloyd huffs out, which snaps Garmadon out of his bloodlust. He looks up and locks his eyes with his son. Lloyd smiles and Garmadon face softens and he sighs.

"Fine,". He says abruptly dropping Clyde on the floor. "I won't kill him."

"Thanks dad." Lloyd chuckles. Garmadon walks past the fallen officer and towards his son and Haliey. She backs away to let him pass and goes to help her partner off the ground.

"You deserved that." She spits in his ear as she lets go of him. They watched as Garmadon walked over to his son and wrapped all four arms around him. Lloyd deepened the warm embrace. His father's skin was always warm, like a heated blanket able to make anyone fall asleep in minutes. And after 10 minutes, Lloyd had drifted to sleep in his father's arms. The Lord smiled at his son and later him back on the bed. He turned to the two officers who were still standing behind him.

" If you want more info from my son, come tomorrow." He says as he ruffled his sleeping son's hair. He shot a look at Clyde. "And come with a more levelheaded partner Miss." Haliey smiled and snatched her partner by the collar, dragging him out of the room.

"Sure thing Mister Garmadon." She smiled and she forced Clyde out the door. They exchange smiles as Haliey leaves the room leaving the two.

Weeks later

Lloyd was discharged from the hospital after another two weeks. He was happy to go, but he did have a much better experience than his last stay. He went back to school where he was berated with questions about what happened and if he was ok. He told as much as he knew, excluding the part about the silent one. He wasn't sure if he wanted to put that out in the public.

He and the others were at the docks training their powers. It was Nya's turn. The boys were on long thick poles stick up from the water. Nya was in the center on a wooden platform. She had to knock all of them down before time ran out. She had gotten Kai, Cale and Zane down and Lloyd and Jay were left. Officer Haliey walked into the entrance of the warehouse where the Ninjas' mechs reside. With him was Officer Clyde ( who insisted he be there) and Officer Jessie; the one who was with Haliey before she had caught Lloyd from falling that day. They go to the back where they see Wu giving towels to Zane, Cole, and Kai. All they boys were soaking wet and Zane was short circuiting a little. Cole was the one to notice the officers.

"Umm, Sensei Wu," Cole gestures to the three. The old man turns, so do the other two ninjas.

"Hello officers. I assume you're here to talk to Lloyd."

"Yes, where is he?" Hailey. The three boys point to the docks outside. They all walk out just in time to see Jay go flying off his pole and towards them. Everyone managed to dodge, except Clyde who Jay crashed into and they both went flying back into the warehouse.

"Jay are you ok!?" Kai calls cornered. Jay's head appears from the pile of metal he landed in.

"I'm good." He says lifting a thumbs up. Clyde appears from under him.

"I'm not..." he mutters. Haliey and Jesse hold in their laughter, before turning back to where Jay had come from. Lloyd and Nya were above the water; Lloyd parqkoring on poles around the suspended wooden platform Nya was on. Lloyd was dodging the Girl ninja's water whips attempting to knock him down. The two officers were amazed at Lloyd's agility.

"You have only a minute left Nya." Wu yells to the two.

"That's all I need." She grins picking up the pace. Lloyd wasn't backing down either.

"You sure this is safe." Jesse asks the aging ninja.

"Safe for them. They got thick skulls and years of training." Wu smiles at the three boys helping their friend and the officer.

"Got you." Nya shouts. They turn to see Lloyd getting grabbed by one of Nya's water tentacles. She tries to throw him but he manages to latch in to a pole; causing him to slip out of Nya's hold. Lloyd continues to dance around the poles, attempting to mock Nya.

"Whoops missed me again~" Lloyd smirks. Nya's face turns red. In a blind rage she uses a tentacle to try and punch Lloyd. She hits him, a little to hard. He doubled back and crashed into the water.

"Lloyd!" Nya yells. She immediately jumps into the water after her friend. Everyone rushes to the edge to look down into the water. After a couple of seconds, Nya and Lloyd appear; Lloyd was hacking up water.

"Are you ok L?" Kai calls down. Lloyd gives a thumbs up.

"I'm good, just got the wind knocked out of me."

"Sorry Lloyd..." Nya apologized. Lloyd smiles at his friends.

"It's ok Nya. I'm good."

  All 6 ninja were in the warehouse, drenched in water. Nya was incredibly happy, since all of them had made a bet on the challenge and she won. She dances around the boys as she points to each of them.

"Kai, you got my chores for a month."

"A Month!"

"Cole you have to polish my motorbike."

"Gah... come on! That thing is always covered in layers of dust."

"Zane you have to clean my mech."

"*sighs* I accept my fate."

"Jay, you have to do my homework for a week."

"Aww... Nya!"

"Lloyd you get off easy since I accidentally hurt you."

"What!!" The other 4 shout annoyed.

"You have to help me babysit the Parkers this week."

"Oh ok. I'm good with kids."

"No way this is unfair!"

"Excuse me? Who's the judge here?"

The 5 started to argue. Lloyd, Wu and the officers just watched. After a while Jesse broke the silence.

"Any way we're here for something other than bets."

"Yes we have come for more info on this 'Quiet One'" Clyde adds. No one pays attention to him.

"What do you need to know." Wu turns to Haliey.

"Everything."
