RX-78-2: GUNDAM
In case you're all wondering why I put the design of 0 Gundam for the one Mobile Suit that is the ancestor of every Gundam in every series, I've been thinking, the GN Drive on its back serves as a warp driver of sorts, you all remember the ending of the first Gundam series, right? Well, in my version of this story, this Mobile Suit somehow warped itself from the ending of the Universal Century into the Cosmic Era.
In short, that was how the GUNDAM name came to be in the Cosmic Era, because this Mobile Suit was the first to carry both the name alone and the nickname that Kazuya gave to the Unicorn, The White Devil.
This mythical Mobile Suit makes its appearance when the Archangel clashes with the Vesalius and Glamow the second time. Who is the pilot? That....is a story for another time. For now? All that you need to know is that this Gundam is pretty much like Unicorn: A well-known legend who hasn't been seen for like a long time and is piloted by a Newtype.
