Their days went very similar for the next month. wake up, eat, Ladybug walked downstairs, without her costume, and grabbed some food for herself. Then they met Adrien and Chat Noir in the park or the eiffel tower and just hung out. Chat Noir started flirting with Marinette, and, no matter how much she told herself it was irrational, Ladybug started to feel jealous. Marinette started to fall for Chat Noir slowly, day by day. As Marinette and not Ladybug, she could see the real Chat, not just the super flirty, head over heels, romantic Chat. And, as much as she denied it to Ladybug, she fell in love.

For weeks, Marinette wrestled with her feelings, arguing with herself. She was confused. how could she be in love with both Adrien AND Chat Noir?

She eventually told Ladybug. Ladybug smiled at her and nodded. "Go for it."

Marinette just looked at her incredulously. "What, confess? Do you even know me?" Ladybug stared at her for a moment then they both broke into laughter.

"You should do it. Be brave."

"Who should I confess to? I like them both!" Marinette asked, panicking. Ladybug shrugged.

"Why not both?"

"That sounds like not the best idea." Marinette's phone went off and a picture of Chat Noir and Adrien lit up the screen.

"Time to go meet them! The eiffel tower will be the best place to do it, no one interrupting." Ladybug grabbed Marinette and swung out of the house and to the Eiffel tower.

"Hey, purr-incess, bugaboo."
"Hey, Mari, Ladybug." Chat Noir and Adrien said in unison upon the girls' arrival.

Ladybug released Marinette and walked away, calling over her shoulder, "Mari has something she wants to tell you guys. I'll be down here." And she jumped off the edge of the eiffel tower, swinging to a platform underneath them.

"Ladybug!" Marinette said in protest before slowly turning to the boys. "Uh, hi?"

Chat Noir leaned on his staff and asked, "What did you need to say, purr-incess?"

Marinette twisted her hands together and flushed. She took a deep breath, looked at Chat Noir then Adrien and closed her eyes. 'Come on, Mari! Just say it!'

"I like you!" She blurted before she could lose her nerve. "Both of you." She opened her eyes and saw Adrien and Chat Noir staring at her. They glanced at each other and burst into laughter. Marinette was mortified. She ran.

Marinette hid in a room somewhere in the Eiffel tower. She didn't know where. She was wiping tears from her cheeks when she heard a voice in her head. "Princess Justice, you have been laughed at when you were most vulnerable. Now, I give you the power and strength to get your revenge and never be vulnerable again. All I ask in return is Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous."

"They will rue the day they made me a joke." Marinette's outfit melted into a black leather jumpsuit with a purple half skirt. Her hair was down; she had long black silk gloves, and a black and silver crown was perched on her head. A silver and purple dagger appeared in the air and she grabbed it.
