Unlucky Charm

"Are you ready to relinquish your earrings, pest?" Ladybug frowned sadly and cast her eyes downwards. She walked towards Princess Justice and Adrien slowly, her hand going to her earrings.

"No, Ladybug, don't!" Adrien yelled. He squirmed in Princess Justice's arms and she smacked him in the head with the butt of the dagger. He went limp and Ladybug almost screamed, but she continued to walk towards them. When she was a few paces in front of them, she saw a streak of black flash through the air and Chat Noir hit Princess Justice's arm, causing her to drop her dagger. She turned to chase after the knife, dropping Adrien, who crumpled to the ground.

Ladybug picked up Adrien and leapt away, hiding him behind a pillar. She would have brought him somewhere safer, but she heard Chat Noir groan in pain. She turned and saw Princess Justice towering over him, blade in hand. She reached down and touched his ring, going to take it. Ladybug threw her yo-yo, tangling it around her legs and pulling. Princess Justice collapsed and Chat Noir pulled himself to his feet. He got back into fighting stance while Princess Justice got up. She saw Ladybug behind her and Chat Noir in front of her. She couldn't do anything to one without being attacked by the other.

Princess Justice threw her head back and called to the sky. "You want Ladybug's miraculous? Come and get it!" She reached up to her ears and started unfastening an earring. Ladybug panicked and threw her yo-yo, tying Princess Justice's arms to her sides. Princess Justice flipped her dagger around and pulled it up, severing the yo-yo string.

Ladybug looked down at the useless string in her hand, over at Chat Noir and up at Princess Justice. She felt something stir in her. 'This has to stop. We have to help her or everything we have done will be for naught.'

Adrien leapt out from behind the pillar and tackled Princess Justice from behind, knocking her to the ground. Her dagger skid across the ground and Ladybug scooped it up. She held it in her hand as she watched the boys fight with Princess Justice. 'They are going to lose' she realized. She started to look around, trying to think. An idea popped in her head, but she wouldn't do it unless there was no other way. She did her lucky charm as a last resort.

A miniature replica of Princess Justice's dagger fell into her hand. She looked up at the others and saw that Adrien's leg was wounded and Princess Justice had Chat Noir pinned to the ground. Ladybug knew there was no other way. She stabbed herself in the gut, knowing Princess Justice would fall. They both collapsed and Chat Noir, not seeing Ladybug, quickly cataclysmed her crown.

Chat Noir turned to Ladybug, going to celebrate. He saw her on the ground, blade in her gut, crimson blood flowing from the wound.

"M'lady!" He ran to her side and lifted her head. "Ladybug! No, please!" He hugged her head and Adrien shuffled backwards slightly as the akuma drifted towards him.

Ladybug lifted her head slightly and handed her yo-yo to Chat Noir. He could barely hear her whisper. "Catch it.'' He captured and purified the akuma and pushed the yo-yo back into her hand.

"Come on, come on! Do your miraculous ladybug! Please! It might save you!" Adrien handed her the mini polka-dotted knife and Chat Noir helped her throw it in the air. She mumbled the words and went limp. Adrien knelt next to Marinette and held her close.

The ladybugs flew around in a swarm, fixing the pillars in the Eiffel tower and putting boxes back to their original places. Just before the ladybugs got to them, Ladybug removed her miraculous and handed them to Adrien. The ladybugs swarmed Marinette and Ladybug and then disappeared, taking the girls with them before the boys could see who Ladybug was.
