Chapter Two

Ethan Ford is driving his squad car into the crime scene of Laurie House.

The Laurie House looks same only difference is we are two years in to the future.

He gets out of the car and the forensic scientist, Lauren him a summary of what happened. The kid we found was some Tiktok star snooping around, and instead of the house being haunted the house, hides something and was booby trapped.

What is the house hiding Ethan asks Lauren? We dont know but we found the owner, an old man by the name of Steve.

Tell me about him Ethan asked. Well um, he is a retired physicist, he was forced to retire for fits of violent rage, we are interviewing him right now.

Good, is there anyone we found, alive, Ethan asked. No, well not exactly.

What do you mean by not exactly Ethan asked, confused?

Well, we found a little girl hidden here. What about her Ethan asks cutting her off?

She died, four years ago, and she hasnt faked her death, because she hasnt aged a bit.

Wait what Ethan replies, shocked and confused?

I am as shocked as you.

Ethan is sitting down next to the little girl. What is your name, Ethan asks?

Cindy Finn, the girl replied. Can you tell me what happened to you?

No, Cindy replied.

Why not, Ethan asked.

Because I dont know what happened, Cindy replied

What do you mean? Ethan asked.

I remember being dared to go in, I remember being scared, and fainting, and that is it, Cindy replied.

Do you remember who dared you? Ethan asked.

I dont, she replied.

Do you know what knocked you out? Ethan asked.

I remember stepping on something and something, I think wood and flew at my head, and then waking up, Cindy replied.

Do you know what year it is, Ethan asked?

Yeah, January 28th 2018, she replied.

You are correct but you are 4 years behind, it is 2022, Ethan replied, a little worried and shocked.

I slept that long; Cindy joked

Yes, I dont know how but you did, Ethan replied.

Lets go, back to the station, and find your parents, Ethan said as he got. Speaking of which where are my parents, the young girl asked, as she also got up.

They now live in Texas, we have contacted them, they should be here in a few hours Why dont you go with the nice police officer, Emma to the police station?

Sure, Cindy replied. Cindy walks to Emma.

Ethan walked to Lauren. Tell me about her parents, Ethan asked Lauren.

Nice folk, she replied. The moved away after her well disappearance, the father and the mother both teachers at a local high school, in Texas.

Has there been any case like this before, Ethan asked?

There have been some reported but none proven, the last one being some girl named Natalie.
