Kennedy's POV
The sound of my alarm clock buzzed into my ears. Signally that it was 6:30 in the morning, I had to get ready for school.
I lazily for up from my bed, fixing the sheets a little so I wouldn't look like a complete slob. My brother would always call me lazy since my room was never tidy. I mean, it's not like I'm going to have a party in my bedroom. What's the point of keeping it clean?
I walked into my closet and pulled out my outfit for the day. Black ripped skinny jeans, a grey hoodie that reached my waist, and my black vans with white laces. I absolutely love black jeans and hoodies. I think they suit me.
My hair was still straightened from yesterday but it now had a wave to it. It looked nice.
I picked up my black backpack, along with my phone, and walked down the kitchen for breakfast.
Louis was already there. He was currently munching on his cereal and playing around on his phone. Most likely texting some girl.
My father isn't awake when me and Lou head to school. That forces Louis to drive me everyday to school and back home.
I put two pieces of bread into the toaster and checked my own phone for any new notification. All I got was a text message from my closes friend Luke, saying that he won't make it to school today because he's sick.
I replied with a sad emoji and a "hope you feel better".
Luke is on the football team with Louis. We have been friends for a while now and I literally can't live without him. We have our ups and downs but we're always going to be on each other's side.
Luke is actually gay. He's dating my friend Ashton. They have been together for quite some time now and they're adorable together.
I ate up my sandwich and walked Louis out the door.
"Ready?" He asked.
I simply nodded and buckled myself up in his car. For a guy, his car was spotless. You couldn't find a fingerprint on his windows or any crumbs on the seats. As if on cue; "I don't want any crumbs on the ground, Kennedy." Louis warned. "The last time you ate in here I had to call a whole cleaning company."
I rolled my eyes at how much of a drama queen he can get. But a small smile was playing my lips at the same time. "Oh ha ha ha. So funny."
"I'm being serious!" Louis replied.
The rest of the ride was filled with small talk between Lou and I. He told me about his upcoming football game he wants me to attend and more drama about friends.
Apparently, this religious dude is after Luke and Ashton. He wants to fight either of them because "they're going against the bible." I personally, respect everyone and I just want them to be happy. I understand the point religious groups are trying to make though.
"Damn." Was all I could say to Louis.
"I know right." He trailed off.
Louis shifted the gear thing into park, meaning that we have arrived to our school.
"Remember to meet me here after school." Louis reminded me.
"Alright." I replied, grabbing my stuff and exciting the car.
"Tomlinson!" A voice greeted us. I looked up to find a tall figure with open arms. I wasn't sure who the man was so I looked back at Louis, waiting for him to step in.
"This is Harry, Ken. He's the captain of the football team. I'm not sure if your remember him." He explained.
"Oh!" I said as if I knew all along and it suddenly came to my mind. "Hi!" I said cheerfully, hugging Harry gladly. He gives good hugs if I'm being completely honest.
He chuckled. "Last time I saw you up close was sophomore year."
"Time flies by." I managed to say and chuckled a little as well at the end.
"Look at you!" He said, looking at me up and down. I got a little uncomfortable but a blush crept up to my cheeks.
For some reason he reminds me of an uncle that I haven't seen in forever.
"You're very beautiful. Louis, what happened to you?" He joked.
I giggled. "He's the ugly duckling!" I exclaimed.
Louis crossed his arms. "Last time I checked, the ugly ducking turned into a beautiful swan."
Me and Harry fell into laughter as Louis just stood there with a frown.
"I'll see your around, Kennedy." Harry smiled, giving me one last hug.
I smiled, hugging him back.
"Harry is very kind." I said truthfully to Louis once Harry was out of our sights.
"He kept checking you out." Louis said, shaking his head in disapproval.
"No he wasn't!" I said defensively.
Louis didn't say anything, he just shook his head again and continues walking into the building. I followed him quietly.
I reached my locker and quickly put in my combination as Louis layed back on the lockers with crossed arms, watching everyone walk by like a hawk.
I grabbed my math book, chemistry, and literature.
"Where's Luke?" Louis asked from my side.
"He sick." I said sadly while pouting.
"Who's going to be with you for the rest of the day?" He asked, like the protective brother he is.
"I'm not sure. Maybe Ashton."
"Why can't you hang with a girl from once? They're not scary." He joked.
Louis friends were always my friends too. The process of making a new girl friend made me feel nervous. I shrugged. "I don't know."
"You know Samantha?" Louis questioned.
I nodded, biting my lip.
"Talk to her." Louis demanded more then asked.
I shrugged again. Samantha is a cheerleader. I don't think her kind likes mine. "Umm.." I trailed off, not really giving my brother an answer.
"She's nice."
I scrunched my nose. "I bet she thinks I'm a dork."
Louis shook his head. "Don't think like that baby sis. Samantha is very sweet. I'll have her come up to you. How does that sound?" He asked kindly.
I pursed out my lips, while thinking about the arrangement Louis wants to make. "Sure." I finally agree. "Why not."
Louis clapped his hands together with joy. "Yes! I will see you at lunch. Love you."
Before I could even reply, Louis was walking down the hallways.
"Oh Lou." I mumbled. He's so caring and protective of me for many different reasons.
