Chapter 10 [Shelter 3]

The screen disappeared from my eyes along with her voice. All i could hear now was monsters scratching the walls out side on the door. I plan on returning back as soon as i got the feather so i unsheathed my sword and burst out of the room.

3 monsters ran towards me and i swung my sword slicing their heads off. I quickly ran while dodging some attacks. The sword slices them apart easily which made it easier for me to clear the path. 5 minutes, 10 minutes had passed and i reached the others who are still inside the zones.

From a far, Hiroki could be seen standing in a zone in the middle of a crowd full of monsters. Each zone has one room but Hiroki's is different as it is located at a place near where the monsters was spawned.

He was waving in my direction so i make my way through the monsters. 2 heads, 4 heads, 6 heads flew as i kill them mercilessly. I stepped on a monster to bounce off a wall and swiftly swung my sword all the way to Hiroki. I made it to his side without a single scratch.

Hiroki's eyes were wide in shock. He stared at me for quite sometime before he turned his away and made an "Ehem" sound.

The first day has ended and everyone got out of their zones. Not everyone in the subway survived unfortunately. About 70% survived while the others died not being able to get in a zone. The bodies were torned apart. Limbs were scattered along with pools of blood.

Hiroki and i returned to the others and they came running at us. Some were staring at me in amazement because i rushed towards Hiroki by fighting off the monsters. Some were grateful for the information i provided. Some were just glad they survived.

Even though we survived the first day, the second day awaits us. The second and the last day will be much more harsher than the first day. I quickly told them about what would comes next.

"The monsters will return once the time sets to 7pm again. This time, there are only 10 zones available and each can only fit in 2-4 people. The hidden zones wont be able to activate again so we'll be left with two options."

'This is where the real game begins. '

"What are the options? "

"One, is that we fight for own survival. We'll sacrifice others to get into the zones ourselves. Hiroki's group along with the four of us has enough rooms to fit inside the zones. It is also our easiest way to survive. "

They were looking at each other in hesistant before nodding and spoke..

"Anything but that. What is the second option"

I unknowingly grinned.

"It seems like we all agreed to take the second option. Very well."

I pointed my sword at them.

"We'll be fighting them off on our own. "

06:50pm...

10 more minutes until the second night came. I placed them each in their own area that makes us at the advantage. Of course, not all of us will make it out alive. The monsters was the size of a bear and each has strong sharp claws along with big teeths.

Everyone was nervous and was a little bit shaking. It was obvious. The zones popped up already and the people who didn't plan on fighting the monsters ran inside the zones. Throwing those who are weak out of their way. We already announced our plan the other players but only a few decided to join.

'Like what i said before on the scenario. I have done what i can do, now the rest is up to them. We have provided them options, they'll be the ones to choose for themselves'

I told everyone to each get a flash bomb or a smoke bomb from the item shop. It is cheap so it is easy to get if they hadn't spend too much money before.

I gripped my sword getting ready for the monsters to come. Akiko and i are together on the edge of the railing, Hajime and Ryuu are somewhere along the middle. Hiroki and his mens are circling the station.

It is now 7pm...

"GROAAAAR"

"NOW"

At my signal, they threw is at the monsters and smoke started to fogged up certain areas.

I told them to throw just enough bombs to cover up the railings and the path they came from. The smoke will block their noses and eyes for a little while and we'll take that chance to take them down.

The monsters that successfully avoided the smoke were easily killed and the other monsters slowed their pace because of the smoke. The other players who are fighting are all in high spirit.

I swung my sword to my left and kicked the other ones that are coming from my right. These are low level monsters that you find roaming in the streets for most of the time. They are not hard to kill.

The monsters became aware of their situation after sometime and started to attack slower than before. It became easier for us to attack forward now and so the others march forward a little. not to close to the smoke and not to far. the monsters wont be able to surprise attack them this way.

on the opposite of me, Akiko and Ryuu ran towards me in a hurry.

"The rail is clear! Hoshiki-san, We need to hurry!" Ryuu informed me.

I told Akiko and Ryuu to carefully time it right to make a path straight to another station. i nodded and told the others to follow Ryuu and Akiko immediately. the others ran with them and left.

the tunnel has monsters but only a few so it was not a problem at all. the problem is that the monsters behind will start to catch up with our scent and soon will start to move here.

"I guess let's try to use that flame"

Black flames formed on my hand and in one swing, the tunnel was blocked with black flames. the flames melt the rails bellow and the temperature rise drastically. Hajime who stayed behind with me was astonished along with Hiroki. There are still people in that station but they refused to move to another station because it's "dangerous".

'Stupid players'

i left the tunnel safe and sound although my clothes were burnt a little from the flames. when i got to the other station, it was already cleared out and everyone is safe. there are those who are badly injured but no one died thankfully. i gave out a little sigh.

"Please take care of the wounded quickly. the night is not over yet." i told one of the player. after that first day, Hiroki's men and some other players started to obey my words. i guess they are starting to trust me.

"Search up some bandages and ointments on the item shop. Buy just enough for you to use once or twice."

this rest could only last for a few minutes. that 'person' will show up soon anyways. and money here is very important. that person is a constellation i hated the most. the constellation who is known in the novel for being a master of mind manipulation.

as soon as i thought of it, my head felt dizzy. and ... it seems like i am not the only one who felt dizzy. Hajime who is standing next me stumbled and slap his palm on to his face in attempt to cease it.

'He's here'

because of him, Hajime in the original world died for the first and the second time in the hands of this man.
