I appeared back to the place where I grew up, a little town in Texas.
I walked over to my old home in the far corner of all the houses there.
I took a deep breath as I knocked on the door. A few seconds later the door opened to reveal a man with reddish brown hair and green eyes standing there.
"Hello Brother" I murmured gently. He blinked at me rubbed his eyes then blinked at me again.
"Not gonna say hello to your sister?" I asked with a soft laugh.
Before I knew it I was pulled into his arms. I felt something wet touch my head. He was crying.
I slipped my arms around him holding him close.
My own tears streamed down my face as well. When we finally broke apart he pulled me in to the house.
He shut the door locking it behind him. "Its been three years since you left without telling anybody" he scolded.
I let out a soft sigh "I'm sorry Red, I truly am" I mumbled.
"Its okay, your back now thats all that matters" he murmured softly.
Red and I are not biological siblings, our mother or my foster mother took me in when I was left at her door as a infant. Red and I grew up like siblings, fought and loved like siblings.
That was until I was fifteen years old when I first found out I was the Sun's Daughter and a Phoenix a bird that represents the sun.
That day I left without telling my family goodbye because I knew they'd never allow me to leave or they'd insist to come with, so I left, that was the worst feeling ever being separated from my family, the one that I hold so dear to me.
Now I knew it was time to tell my mother and brother the exact truth why I left without saying a single word.....
