Izuku's POV
Nezu asked me to be ready seeing as I'll be an option to fight for the students' final exams. I know that as soon as the option is presented Bakugo is going to choose it and Kirishima is going to follow him so I know I'll get to fight.
"So does anyone know why all the teachers are here?" Kaminari asked.
"Good question Mr. Kaminari, for your final exams you shall be fighting the teachers, obviously they'll have restraints and rules." Nezu said. "Also, any who wish to fight Shadow Tiger can."
Like expected Bakugo stepped forward and Kirishima followed.
"Alright since that matchup is already set you shall go first while we prepare the others." Nezu announced.
As soon as we get their I put on the restraints before entering the city and finding an area where I can see the gate they have to pass through. It takes them about five minutes for them to decide to just head for the gate which is what I planned for and as soon as they are fifteen feet away from the gate I zip by scratching the ground leaving dark claw marks.
"If you cross the claw marks I will be forced to engage you in combat." The robotic voice of my gauntlet said, causing them to jump and spin to try and face me. "Wrong way."
The problem with them trying to locate me by sound is that I'm constantly moving. I lower the volume of the gauntlet to a whisper before sneaking up on Kirishima.
"What's wrong, cat got your tongue?" I taunted using the gauntlet.
Kirishima squealed so loud you would have thought I put ants in his trousers.
3rd Person POV
"She's enjoying this." Jiro said causing looks of confusion to appear.
"How can you tell?" Aizawa asked.
"For one, though she may be kind, Bakugo has wronged her so he is her prey, you don't have to worry, the only thing she'll do is spook them a little bit and then she'll take action completing the exam." Jiro says calmly. "And another is that I can feel the joy she's experiencing through the bond."
"Makes sense, the first thing Bakugo did was insult her." Kaminari said with a shrug.
Izuku's POV
I've done enough taunting, it's time to finish the exam. There is five minutes remaining so it's time to show myself. I do a slow exit from the shadows directly behind them and start with a side jab to Bakugo's ribs before following up with an uppercut to Kirishima's jaw disorienting the both of them. This goes on for a while, me giving slow and easy to block disorienting attacks that don't really do much in the long run while I wait for them to attempt to put a plan together. It seems as though Bakugo finally understands that I'm going really easy on them and they aren't getting anywhere.
"Kirishima, can you hold her off long enough for me to get across the gate?" Bakugo asked.
Kirishima froze for a split second so I stopped, knowing that they finally understood the seriousness of this exam.
"You pass." I type. "You finally realized that you need to respect your opponent and your comrades. If you don't respect your opponent then you underestimate them, and if you don't respect your comrades then they can't trust you. You may cross the gate together."
I then take the cuffs from them and put them on myself even though they'll do nothing to me with me being a mutation type.
"Kirishima and Bakugo have passed the exam." The computer announced.
3rd Person POV
"Pull up the audio! We need to know why she put the cuffs on herself!" Nezu ordered.
They listened to a playback of the audio from the nearest camera.
"She's a better teacher than all of us combined." Midnight commented. "I'm so proud."
"That she is. She focused more on possible detriments to future work rather than fighting skill and observational skill. Those skills can be worked on during regular classes but what she just did can't." Nezu stated surprised. "We could all learn a thing or two from her."
"Glad to know I impressed you." Came a robotic voice from the shadows of the room.
"Izu, did you really have to toy with them for so long?" Jiro asked.
"The scaring was necessary but could have been done at a different time but other than that, yes it was. You saw the results yourself Kyo." Izuku typed in response.
"While that may be true you terrified the living daylights outta me. I think I need some new trousers for my hero costume." Kirishima commented getting a laugh outta everybody including Bakugo.
"I wasn't trying to scare you that bad so I'm sorry for that." Izuku typed.
"Nah, it's cool. It was really awesome how you were able to sneak around us without us seeing or hearing you unless you wanted us to." Kirishima said. "I'd say manly but I really don't want to offend you."
"It takes more than that to offend her Kirishima." Jiro said with a small laugh.
"It's your turn Kyo." Izuku said after spotting the board. "Good luck, though it's not like you'll need it."
After Jiro's match Izuku checked on her ears before taking her over to Recovery Girl and then took her and went to a corner and proceeded to snuggle and fall asleep. Anytime anybody tried to approach Izuku either growled if Jiro whimpered or Jiro made a sound of anger if Izuku whimpered causing everybody to steer clear not wanting to anger either of the mates who are both hurt but seem to be healing each other. Yaoyorozu smiled at Jiro being comfortable around her soulmate knowing that she now stood no chance with her. Out of nowhere Yaoyorozu felt a burn on her wrist and groaned and a soulmark appeared shocking her and those that spotted the appearing mark. They also turned towards Todoroki when he too groaned and spotted the same growing mark on the opposite wrist.
"Wait, are we seeing this correctly?" Ashido asked. "Can soulmarks appear late?" She asked from beside her soulmate, Kirishima.
"It appears so Ms. Ashido. This is a new occurrence." Nezu stated. "What just happened that could have caused this?"
"I don't know. I was just thinking about Jiro and Kayama and accepting the fact that I stood no chance at dating Jiro since she's happy with her soulmate." Yaoyorozu said confused.
"That could be it." Nezu thought aloud. "It could have been your acceptance of defeat which is something you wouldn't usually do."
"So you're saying that improving oneself could be the key to two people getting their soulmarks?" Asui asked.
