1.3 Hypocrite

A/N: This is where this story and the Raekkuno story intersect, you'll see stuff in here and in future chapters that have already been in that story but with new perspectives on what happened and what they were thinking at the time etc.

10th Oct 2021 11:30pm (Toast POV)

The house has already felt more lonely without Rae ever since she left, her being here just forced all of us in the house to interact with each other a lot more which we hadn't really done recently. Of course I still had Miyoung who spent most of her time here with me but it's more that Rae was able to bring the entire house together, as opposed to it being just Miyoung and I, though I still really appreciated all the time that I spent with Miyoung.

For the past two days Miyoung and I had been trying to set up the party that we talked about the other night, we were going to do a Halloween party at the end of the month as OTV usually does but we figured why not do one anyway? It was Miyoung and I that were funding the party so the others didn't have any problem with it, in fact, with all the exhausting streams recently I think they all needed it, I know I did. We figured that we'd just keep it casual, and by that I meant we'd invite all of our inner circle/main friend group as well as friends of friends, so basically everyone really.

I had gotten most of the invites out to people and told them to invite whoever they'd like to, the only people I hadn't gotten to yet were my amigops, you'd think they'd be the first people I would have asked but I just didn't find a good time. I tried to ask Rae the morning she left but she got all emotional about going back home so it wasn't really a good time, as for the others I just- I don't know I just hadn't asked yet.

Miyoung and I were just sitting in bed, as if we were a married couple while we both engaged with our phones before she questioned me about the party. "Toast? Did you ask Rae about the party yet? It's in a couple days, I could tell her if you-" Just as she was talking about Rae, I was getting a call from the Amigops group chat. "Welp, guess I can ask her now." I showed Miyoung the phone screen, picking the phone up after. As the line connected, I noticed that Corpse had also picked up the phone, however Sykkuno had not. We both waited patiently for Rae to speak since she was the one who called us yet after a moment or two she still hadn't said anything.

"Rae? Are you there?" Corpse questioned her silence. "What's she saying?" Miyoung whispered to me, making eye contact with me, wanting to know what she was talking about. "Nothing." I replied simply, what else was I supposed to say? "Fine don't tell me then." She diverted her attention back towards her phone as she looked annoyed. "No Miyoung, she's literally not talking, no one is." I explained while putting my hand over the phone to ensure they couldn't hear me, not liking her reaction to what I said before. "Oh. Sorry." She apologised but I just waved it off as if it wasn't a problem.

"Alright, you ready Corpse?" I asked, preparing to do the thing we'd always do when someone was in their own head. "Ready." He replied simply, understanding what I was referring to. "3, 2, 1, AHHHHHHHHHHH" We counted down from three and yelled in unison, though I stopped when Miyoung hit my shoulder.

"What are you guys doing!?" Rae's voice chimed through and I coughed slightly from yelling, though I stifled it and continued. "We called your name so many times!" Corpse and I both exclaimed in unison, snapping back at Rae's question. "Let's not forget you invited us to this call Miss. Valkyrae." Corpse continued alone, having a clear teasing tone present in his voice.

"Oh I'm sorry I was thinking about Sykkuno, I mean u-uh n-never mind!" She blurted out, before nervously denying it and I sighed, knowing I'd have to sort out the relationship they didn't know they had as I always did. "Were we now?" I teased, exaggerating my voice as I heard her groan. "Ooooohhhhh, kinda sus..." Corpse teased in addition.
