The beginning of a journey

(Y/N) POV:

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock beeping at me. I groaned annoyedly and slammed my hand on the top of it hoping it would stop.

Unfortunately, I just hit the volume up button so the sound got even louder. I cracked open my eyes to see the alarm clock and using my hazy and blurred vision fumbled around until I hit the right spot, turning it off.

I fell back into a deep sleep but around ten minutes later I just woke up again to the same noise. I wondered what was happening and then rememberred I had set a secondary alarm because I always ignore the first.

I only do that when there's something important though and I don't remember anything important coming up...

So obviously I opened my eyes a crack again and went to turn it off by the plug. However, when I actually noticed that the time was 11 o'clock I groaned and realised that I should probably be out of bed by now even if I didn't have a job to go to.

I rolled out from underneath the covers and then walked over to my dresser, putting on some jeans and a black t-shirt before walking out of my room and down the stairs into the hallway. My house was quite average sized for London and I was quite well off but I wasn't exactly uber-rich. I was more of a C-list actor in some British TV shows and movies.

Although, I was rich enough to be able to have made a down payment on my house.

In London.

I walked over to the kitchen and made myself some cereal whilst turning on Netflix. My kitchen was small and attached to my living room so I could easily see the tv from here while eating breakfast.

I scrolled through Netflix and decided to rewatch Iron Man 2 for the millionth time. It was personally my favourite movie and in it I watched my celebrity crush Scarlett Johansson perform at her best and look good while doing it. It wasn't a major crush, just like how everyone has their favourite celebrity mine was her. I had first come across her in "Scoop." and ever since tried to find her other movies. I found her acting ability to be top tier and hoped to be able to get to her level one day.

So, as I watched the movie again I finished up my breakfast, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher and quickly cleaned up the counters. I liked doing chores while having a movie or something in the background because that meant that I could do impressions of the characters while I did the jobs.

I was particulalrly good at impressions and voices since for the first part of my career I worked as a voice actor as well as in theatre. I did a very good RDJ impression and most of the male characters but I couldn't quite crack Scarlett or Gwenyth Paltrow's voices. I was always slightly off. I tutted to myself as I went too high while immitating Gwenyth and then, once done with the cleaning, turned around to look at my pride and joy.

My comics collection.

I walked over to the entire wall of the living room where shelves upon shelves stored over 600 issues of marvel comics, each of them well preserved and dusted regularly. I looked over them and double checked their positioning like they had somehow moved from yesterday.

I ran my hands over the Avengers series then Ghost rider's series, Nova, Iron Man, Black widow, Spider-Man, Thor, Hulk and my finally most prized group.

"The Unkillable Phantom!" series of comics. I had every issue that Marvel ever printed from 1-128 It was one of the more popular ones and I had every part of it. From the up-beat original version, to the more dark and gritty stage where they fleshed out his backstory with Doctor Astrikov and then to the more moderate and witty soft reboot where he joined up with The Avengers to fight off Thanos and battle great threats.
