It's been a few weeks since his movie was released and since it's been going great it called for a celebration. And that's why Robert Downey Jr, the movie star, and some friends went out. They hit their favorite club, which was their favorite for a lot of reasons.
Obviously they had the best spot. In the top corner where they could see everyone and everyone could see them. People were coming over to their table all night. Some asking for photos, some wanting to have a conversation and some asking for more. Mostly women, who would come and go during the whole night. The majority of these women got to drink a couple drinks with them and only a few of the lucky ones got to make out or even do more. But none of them had managed to get so close to the man of the hour.
"Are you having a good time?" he asks a woman standing a few feet away from him.
"I definitely am now" she smiles, realizing who's talking to her.
"Your drink is almost empty. Want me to get you another?" he asks and she agrees.
He finds her a new drink and they continue their interaction. She's beautiful and all over him, yes, but she's not the one who has his attention. His attention is on her friend who's next to her and seems like she's not interested in him at all. Which is intriguing and weirdly attractive to him.
"I'm sorry, are we boring you?" he asks with a playful tone when their eyes lock on one another.
"No, of course not. Sorry for giving you this impression" she replies.
"Are you, really?"
"If I offended you, then yes"
"You've barely looked our way since I started talking to you. But I wouldn't say I'm offended, I've been through worse" he chuckles.
"You started talking to Charlie, not me. And since you're not offended I find no reason to feel sorry" she says proudly.
"Oh, so that's what this about? You wanted me to talk to you?" he asks with a smirk.
"God, no. No offense again, but you're not that much of my type" she catches him by surprise.
"Am I not good enough for you?" he raises his eyebrow in excitement, not used to hearing comments like hers.
"Well, I saw your movie and liked it. I'd say you're a 10 in it. But now, I'd say a 7...maybe an 8" she says.
"Honey, I'm definitely an 8. Just not up here" he says pointing at his face.
There are a few excited noises around them, caused by his comment. Women scanning him and his grin up and down.
"You're charming, I give you that" she chuckles.
"What do I have to do to get more from you?" his eyes looking straight into hers.
"Maybe ask for my name for starters"
"How rude of me" he smiles.
The two of them exchange names for a fresh start, a friendlier one. The more time that passes by, the drinks get more and more. The music sounds better, calling for intense dancing and singing. The atmosphere feels lighter. And finally the feeling feels more and more mutual.
Hands get slippery. Bodies get close. Faces even closer. After a few close ups where they could almost kiss, there finally comes the moment they do. It's in between hot dance moves in the middle of the crowd. The alcohol easily detected in between their lips.
"Wanna get out of here?" he whisper-shouts in her ear.
She grinds her body against his to the rhythm for a few seconds, not wanting to give her answer so quickly.
