My feet brush against the cool sand and I let my whole body relax. I feel two strong arms around me and I am lifted up onto my brother, Shawn's shoulders. Shawn throws me into the water and I reach out a hand for help. He grabs my hand and I pull him in with me. We laugh together, because these are the good moments in life, the memories, the unforgotten. This is my life. My name is Lake Mendes and I have a brother and a sister, Shawn and Aaliyah. I am 15 years of age. I had a great life until we moved. Far away from my friends, far away from my childhood and it only gets worse from there.
