I wake up to the sound of terrible singing.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEH!!!!!!" Oh yeah, Shawns birthday. It's too late to hide when my door opens.

"Lake?" Shawn asks. I groan in response.

"It's. My. Birthday." He says while plopping on my bed.

"What time is it?" I ask him.

"12 am exactly! The world needs to know that it's my birthday!"

It's our third night in Hawaii and I have barely gotten any sleep.

"Shawn, the world does know your birthday."

"You're just jealous because you're like 12."

"15, actually. Happy birthday idiot." I say while laughing. He fake pouts and picks me up.

"This will be the best birthday present ever." He says while going down the stairs and walking to the backyard of our Hawaii house.

I already know what he's going to do and I sigh knowing there's no escape, he's so much stronger than me.

"Here we go!" He yells while jumping in the pool, me in his arms still.

I feel the cold water on me and I escape his grip, swimming to the stairs.

"B-but the fun just started." He says as he gets out too.

"Let's wake everybody up!" He says excitedly. I nod, knowing they're going to hate him, oh well.

I hear the mad voices of the other boys.

And then they're all coming down the stairs.

Aaliyah, my mom and my dad come today for Shawns birthday. I'm not sure the exact time though.

"Happy birthday brother!!" Aaliyah yells while jumping into his arms, we don't see each other often.

"Hi mom, hi dad!" I say as I hug them.

Aaliyah comes over to me and joins the group hug. Soon enough all the boys join in on the hug and I'm stuck in the very center.

"Happy birthday dear Shawn! Happy birthday to you!" We all sing as the cake our parents got is brought to the table. Shawn blows out the candles and smiles.

After we eat cake, Shawn opens his presents. Mine is the last one.

He opens it up and screams. Inside is a new acoustic guitar with some of the thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran lyrics carved into it. He holds it sideways and stares down at it.

I take a picture in this moment (picture on side or top for phones) because he's in a good pose.

He comes over to hug me and I smile.

"Thank you so much lake!"
