Walk to the Lot

Alex's POV.

We got to the Curtis house at around 3'ish and just bummed around until soda and Steve came home.

Soda and Steve both walked through the door along with Darry. Darry said his goodnights because he had a long day at work and soda squeezed between johnny and I saying "hey princess". I laughed, "sup coca cola" I replied. He smiled that million dollar smile "How was your day with these punks" he asked. I heard Two and Dally but in saying "Hey!" I giggled and looked back at soda "good, they are funny. But not as funny as mwah" I replied. He laughed again. "How about you? get any girls' numbers?" I asked winking. "Nah, they all get annoying after a while" he replied and I laughed.

Soda got up to go get changed and I went back to my spot, next to Johnny. "Hey johnnycake" I said smiling. He looked up and mumbled a hi smiling.

I got up "Guys im going for a walk anyone wanna come with" I asked. Everyone declined besides Johnny, thank God. I didn't want to walk alone. "I'll go with ya Alex" he said getting up and making his way towards the door. We walked out and onto the sidewalk and started walking to the lot. It was silent. It wasn't awkward but it sure was comfortable.

I sighed looking down. He probably don't even like me at all. How could a guy like him like a girl like me. A girl who has a terrible family, a girl that's worthless and ugly, and a girl that just isn't wanted. "Are you okay alex?" He asked. I looked at him then put my head back down. "I'm fine" I mumbled. He stopped and stood in front of me lifting my chin up with his finger. "No you're not" he said with a worried expression. I sighed again. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked. "Yeah maybe that will help" I replied.

We got to the lot and sat down. I looked up at the stars. "So what's on your mind?" He asked. "Well, it's about a guy" I said. He's going to think I'm stupid probably. "And what about the guy" he asked. "Well, I really like him but I don't think he feels the same way. He has the most beautiful eyes, that award winning smile that he should show more, he's sweet and kind and ca-" I sighed. "I need to just stop" I said looking down.

"Hey don't be upset about it, you're beautiful Alex. Inside and out. You are the most nicest, kindest, funniest, coolest, and most gorgeous girl I've ever met. The gang basically drools over you, hell Darry even says your beautiful. If that boy doesn't like you back then he missing out, on a lot" he finished. I looked up at him and into his eyes to see he was doing the same.

I smiled at him and he smiled back. He started to lean in and I found myself doing the same. He stopped himself half way and said "I-I'm sorry, you like another boy anyways" looking down. "Johnny you're so stupid" I said. He looked up at me but before he could say anything I smashed my lips to his.

Our lips moved in a perfect sync, it lasted about 3 minutes until I needed to breathe. I slowly pulled away and so did he. He rested his forehead against mine. "Wow" he let out. "I know" I said. He smiled at me "Alex, I've only known you for a day but it's felt like years. I understand if you say no but, will you be my girl?" He asked. Oh my gosh. Im flipping out inside. I didn't even say anything, I just smashed my lips to his once again. I ran my hands in his hair and he dropped his hands to my waist. We pulled away and smiled at each other.

"We should get back" I said and he nodded. He grabbed my hand and we were on our way back to the Curtis house. I started to get cold when Johnny noticed. "Are you cold?" He asked. I slowly nodded shivering a bit. He took his jacket off and put it on me. I grabbed it and put my arms through it and automatically felt warmer. He put his arm around me and it was like this until we got back to the Curtis house.
