Jackie pov

I sat on my bed holding my frog pillow thinking about the day I had. I heard the doorbell ring "Jacklyn answer the door." My mom called I sighed and got up and walked down the stairs. I opened the door and froze it was those kids from earlier. I slammed the door and hid in the doorway of the kitchen. "Jackalyn that was so rude. Why on earth would you do that?" My mom spoke as she opened the door again. "Oh well hello there." My mom said as she saw the kids I hugged myself tightly wanting them to leave. "I'm so sorry about my daughter." My mom said, "it's ok our parents sent us all by to welcome you to the neighborhood." I heard one of them say and I took off up the stairs before my mom could call me over. I went to my room and sat on my bed hugging my frog pillow tightly.

Xavier pov

I stared at the house across the street from mine with boxes and furniture being carried inside. I walked into my house and was hit with the smell of cookies. I walked into the kitchen where my mom was baking while humming along to the radio. "Ah xavi your home." My mom said playfully pinching my cheek. She handed me a plate with foil one it "take these to the people who just moved in across the street." I nodded and walked out of my house when I did I saw aggie and keun. I walked up to them "so I guess we're the new community greeting group or whatever." I said knocking on the door with my champions behind me. The door opened and we were met with the girl from earlier she stood frozen for a moment before she slammed the door. We stood there for a moment until a woman opened the door "Jacklyn that was so rude. Why on earth would you do that?" She said looking behind her I looked past and saw 'Jacklyn' hiding in a doorway. The women looked at us and put on a bright smile "oh well hello there." She said I was still looking past her and saw Jacklyn hug herself. "I'm so sorry about my daughter." The woman said looking back at her daughter again "it's ok our parents sent us all by to welcome you to the neighborhood." aggie said I saw Jacklyn take off up the stairs as we handed her mom the dishes our partners sent us over with. The woman turned to call her daughter to help but saw she was gone. "Oh, what is wrong with her?" I heard her mom ask as we left without another word. I smiled as her name ran through my head. I went inside and went straight to my mom "hey mom why don't we invite the new family over for dinner." My mom beamed with joy at my idea "oh that is a wonderful idea set out the good utensils and go invite them over." My mom said as she called my brother and sister down.

Jackie pov

I was hugging my frog pillow praying I could forget what happened moments ago. I heard a knock on the door again my mom once again sent me to answer it. I opened the door and was met with a teenage girl with dark skin and a cool hairstyle. She smiled at me "hey I'm Cheyenne I live across the street my mom sent me over to invite y'all over for dinner." She said my dad appeared out of nowhere and excepted the offer. "Ok cool dinner should be ready at 7:00," Cheyenne said then walked away as I closed the door. "Look Jacklyn we already made such a good impression." My dad said ruffling my hair. I went back to my room and looked at my alarm clock it was 6:30 so I had time to find a reason not to go.
